Selfish p***ks and morons. It turns out England's full of them, and we've got more than we'd care to admit up here as well.
What is the msn? (is it not msm?)

The media are heavily dominated by right wing owners and the bbc is shit scared of the press. It's a fucking shite state of affairs.

Somehow, despite information being more widely available than ever before, the non - switched-on masses are happy to swallow up the same right wing lies as ever.

A record high support for them in Wales after the latest poll.

If Sweden isn’t in lockdown, and if Sweden is just emerging from ‘hibernation’, and if the Swedes have a fitba’ season, then there’s Swedish fitba’ fans. Please make it so.

Dr Peter Goetzsche is Professor of Clinical Research Design and Analysis at the University of Copenhagen and founder of the Cochrane Medical Collaboration. He has written several books on corruption in the field of medicine and the power of big pharmaceutical companies.

    What he says:

Our main problem is that no one will ever get in trouble for measures that are too draconian. They will only get in trouble if they do too little. So, our politicians and those working with public health do much more than they should do.

No such draconian measures were applied during the 2009 influenza pandemic, and they obviously cannot be applied every winter, which is all year round, as it is always winter somewhere. We cannot close down the whole world permanently.

Should it turn out that the epidemic wanes before long, there will be a queue of people wanting to take credit for this. And we can be damned sure draconian measures will be applied again next time. But remember the joke about tigers. “Why do you blow the horn?” “To keep the tigers away.” “But there are no tigers here.” “There you see!”

This isn't influenza though, that's why there are flu jabs every year. This is a virus,a new one.

Agreed. It's why everyone needs to do their bit to stop the spread .

We haven't been out the house since last weekend and shouldn't have to go out until next weekend.

My young lad is a Paramedic so we are a bit worried about him, we also had to ask him to stay away as my wife is high risk.

I couldn't agree more, everyone needs to do their bit.

Maybe. Maybe they had underlying health conditions.

Or not. Given how many cases Italy have had then I'm surprised it's not more than 46 doctors who have died. The statistics show that 1-2% of apparently healthy people die from this.

You have to remember though that these doctors won't be healthy; they'll be overworked and exhausted, and exhaustion opens up your immune system for a whole host of trouble and makes it much harder to fight illness.

Good points, but it is a worrying high number.

That was always going to be the case with this virus. Folk post about some young fit person dying from it are posting an anomaly, but one that fits with the statistics and expected trend. If there were loads of such cases then it would be concerning but the odd one or two is very much in line with what is expected. Not sure why folk therefore post such stories, as it comes across as scaremongering.

so the 46 doctors in italy must have been old or unhealthy
