  1. If Grivosti is fit, I'd have him at centre back over any of our current players.
  2. Not officially confirmed yet, but strong rumours coming out of the club.
  3. Friday's game away to Clach has been moved to the Highland Rugby Club (by Whin Park) due to the fire at Grant Street Park over Christmas.
  4. Yep, even after rotating the pitch. They really need an astro pitch or an incredible drainage system, but that's not likely to happen any time soon.
  5. Saturday's game against Formartine has been switched to Pitmedden - Claggan Park is expected to be a mess with the rain.
  6. Future Staggie Coll Donaldson set to become Current Staggie Coll Donaldson according to the Daily Record.
  7. Neilston 2-3 Petershill FT Good comeback from Neilston but damage was done in the first half.
  8. Stewart out six weeks with hamstring. Not what we need right now.
  9. Neilston 0-2 Petershill HT
  10. Manager Russell McMorran will leave the Fort after new year.
  11. Not sure - I wasn't there so have only seen the fallout on Twitter.
  12. Fixture this weekend reversed due to an unplayable surface, that gets postponed again anyway due to a waterlogged pitch. Highland League never fails to deliver, except when it does.
  13. Was at the game on Saturday, didn't think the 5-0 scoreline was a true reflection of the game to be honest. Fort were well beaten, but 3-4 of the goals were all tap-ins or uncontested headers after defensive mistakes. Fort struggled in the air again, and had a really hard time clearing their lines. Stupid sending off for the Albion #8 - had a fantastic game then a straight red with only a minute or two to play. Squared right up to the ref and will be surprised if he doesn't get fined or a longer ban for being such a dafty. Ousman "Super Noodles" See had a decent game as well, and seemed to be enjoying the slagging he was getting from the young Fort boys in the stand, especially in the second half.
  14. Fort started strong, kept the head fairly well defensively but never challenged during the first half. Albion scored after stringing together a few passes, dragging the defence out of position but it was kind of against the run of play. Rovers by far the stronger side both physically and technically, with the back line simply shrugging off all attacking moves from the Fort and winning every high ball. Albion started to flag around the 60-65 minute mark and massively took their foot off the gas. Fort had a few decent surges up the pitch and the goal was well deserved, although there was some really slack defending from Albion, who were booed off at full time while the Fort got massive cheers and celebrated like they'd won the cup. Managed to drag my Dad along (Fort native) and really enjoyed the game, fantastic result. Fort Ultras made a lot of noise and kept the visitors' spirits up, and fair play to Woody and Peter from FWFC for chatting with everyone and getting the craic.
  15. Paton and Henderson were decent in centre midfield against Motherwell, but the game really swung in our favour once they got subbed off for Spittal and Chalmers. Despite being a dour b*****d, it's great to see Paton in the first team, and I think his missus and wee one were at the game. Grivo's brother was there as well, who looks an actual unit of a boy. Ricky looked a bit shite against Aberdeen, but has put in a couple of good if not especially noteworthy performances since (aside from that cracking turn and cross against Well). Definitely an upgrade from Kelly, who I'm surprised is still here despite losing about a couple of stone over the summer. I'd say get Laidlaw as far away from the team as possible, but we'd be left with Ruddy. Seems to take far too long to distribute the ball, robbing us of counter attack opportunities and really doesn't look comfortable under pressure. Would rather recall Munro to be honest, but I'd say Baxter is still first choice as soon as he's halfway fit.
  16. 5-0 win for the Fort, through to the next round of the cup!
  17. Agree with Waspie, this was always going to be a tie the Fort had to get something from, just glad they did. Bodes well for the cup game this weekend, considering how poor Vale of Leithen have been.
  18. I'll go through my old stubs when I get home tonight. Unfortunately, I'm one of those fuds that will go regardless.
  19. Debating whether to go to this one or not, seeing as my name's down for the Pollok bus to Forres Thistle. Not expecting anything from the game the way we've been over the last few weeks, but kinda intrigued by a possible Grivo/Hendo/Vi.....go(?) midfield three.
  20. Considering the first tweet came out yesterday, it looks like they added the extra trains within the last 24 hours. Don't be a fud.
  21. Aye, both he and Laidlaw managed to bundle it in. Farcical.
  22. Game at the weekend called off due to rain, shame as I was in the Fort on Sunday and it was a pretty decent day. Home draw in the Scottish Cup first round against Vale of Leithen should be interesting, with Vale sitting bottom of the Lowland League with no points from seven games.
