I still think the same neill and mcgeever are too slow, maybe mcmillan/crawford and one of then with another RB will be better a strong striker who wait the ball for second line (mckee, crossan, tierney or mccluskey) must be imprescindible but the money is the money after all, probably dons has played against the 2 better teams of the league.... a little patient....

I hope this year the team fight for europe, the signings seems better than the departures (waiting a midfield for djoum... mulumbu?) but IMO levein is a obsolete manager, maybe as director is much better, but their tactics, decision are worse year by year I think he should stay as "sport director", signing, youth develop etc but another manager younger, more modern and brave should be better for the team (someone like neilson) come on jambos from spain!

according about that. now that the team isnt in championship, what do you prefer? a stronger first team? or worse first team and a youth structure (obviusly non-profesional, players & trainers from the town and nearly) It is unlikely every year a youth pass the first team... but for instance crawford has come back, and others youth players who played for sons are in other youth teams (clyde, hamilton, vale of leven, stirling etc etc)

There isnt the demand in the local area for youth football. Vale juniors have an under 19s and under 21s but other than that the nearest at that age Is clydebank. Both these are seen as pathways to their 1st team at junior level so doubt they would just roll over and cherry pick the best of their boys. Plus the standard is a million miles away from league 1 level so would be a pointless task. A better option would be to get an affiliation with either st Pat's or Dumbarton Accies and take their best players in a crisis, even that would be a disaster. I said mainly for a way of "making club" with youth people, although they havent level for the first team (althogh who knows... we can see crawford)

after watching: - I like the shirt, the borussia of the rock! - QoS is a better team than sons, probably we dont play in league against players like dobbie and CIA. - after a good begining, we cant receive 4 goals in 20 minutes, it is impossible, the second half has been more matched (maybe QoS doesnt effort too much) KEEPER, brennan isnt oblak but I think is good enough (comparing with the rest of the team) DEFENSE -mcgeever & neill are big but extremelly slow, they are very similar, maybe should play one of then with mcmillan as the centre back, so we should sign another RB -quitongo is a good left full back but weak defending, he must improve, but full back who attack are important if we play without wingers (or close wingers) MIDFIELD, i like the trio carswell as anchor, mckee as playmaker and hutton helping both STRIKERS, mcclauskey and tierney have made really good movement, changing continually their positions, they can make troubles in L1, despite the goal PJ crossan has been the weakly maybe a strong striker who pins up their defense and let free to tierney and mcclauskey is needed people who speak about players like dom thomas and similar are players better than L1, it was a gift have them last year
