  1. His flaws are a lengthy old list in comparison to his effort
  2. Performances like that will see us looking up the table rather than down the way...yes County were utter dung, but we were the polar opposite from the word go and if Bair had taken even a quarter of his chances, then that result could have been extremely embarrassing for County
  3. Higdon was absolutely immense for us....after Coyne, he's the best centre forward I've seen at Motherwell
  4. As a young management trainee with a builders merchant about 25years ago...part of the trainee schedule meant a bit of travelling about to learn about products etc where they were produced. I along with a good few other trainees from around the UK spent a week in Stoke. 4 scottish boys including myself, boy from Inverness who was a bit younger and clearly struggled to keep up with the drinking we were doing absolutely lost the plot one night in a club, for no apparent reason...dashed back to our hotel and proceeded to throw every piece of clothing he had with him into the river that was passing the hotel. Absolutely bizarre thing to do
  5. Travelling from Rotterdam to Cologne in a motor home...anyone any suggestions on best/available camp sites for a couple of nights?
  6. That's actually ridiculous from the referee...he should have told the keeper to get on with it
  7. Good chance that the Darvel fella, and the Deadwood fella are actually related
  8. The crowds have increased gradually over the past 2 years. We have somewhere in the region of 400 kids playing for our academy teams and each one gets a season ticket to attend all league games...naturally, they don't all come, but the ones that do tend to bring a family member with them. We are regularly getting 200plus crowds to our games, but yesterday with no top flight football to contend with seen a bigger turnout than usual. Bottom line is that, there is an appetite within Bellshill to have a team the town can get behind.
  9. Would find it difficult to believe that the speedway stadium is unsuitable but the facility at easterhouse is perfectly acceptable... ...ask any player, manager or supporter where they'd prefer to be involved in a game. If be surprised if too many opted for Stepford.
  10. Or lanarkshire...or just about any corner of scotland
  11. I'd be amazed if more people from Livingston went to watch Rangers or Celtic, than people from somewhere like Paisley. Livingston are a new club and people just aren't born with the connection to that club that they are to Killie, Motherwell or any other Club that has been kicking about for nearly a century and a half. Someone further up said that St Johnstones crowds are poor in comparison to other one club towns such as Motherwell and Kilmarnock but the difference with Perth is that it really is a town surrounded by countryside and the odd village rather than huge conurbations like Lanarkshire and Ayrshire. Motherwells support is ridiculous given how close it is to Glasgow and how small its population is, but it can't be denied that the support is swelled by folk from neighbouring towns. This however, doesn't explain the pitiful historical support of Hamilton just across the Clyde.
