  1. The Rose will be in good spirits after that second half performance, the pitch could play in their favour in the return fixture as they didn't seem to have much much else of a plan other than launch it to the big fella up front.... (belter of a free kick from the boy in the first half) Think Kelty will have taken more away from the game in the respect that for about 30 mins in the first half they had the Rose smothered in their own half and at times looked like they could finish it in the first half... Next goal was always going to be crucial and the Rose got it... Didn't see what happened from where I was but heard it was a goalkeeping error... Highlights pending... Kelty felt the full rattle of the rose most of the second half... The disallowed Kelty goal looked on side from where I was and Austin should have done better with his chance late on... Finishing in the end cost the Rose as said unit upfront looked like he blazed a sitter in the last 10! Think all us affordable football fans are in for a great run in over the next 6/8 weeks! 1510 is a tremendous turn out also!
  2. Canny believe Bonnyrigg are letting Rangers on their pitch tonight... Jesus
  3. Is naught the amount of home games yous have played on that jobby pitch in 2020? Asking for my third wife.... Mon the Kelty
  4. Just to clear up.... I'm lucky enough to be a 2 time raffle winner... Neither have led to divorce.... I'm not that fucking lucky....
  5. Aye well they've got this thing where the give you money when you're already half pished and start putting it behind the bar again... I'm sure I paid for the new state of the art Corner flags one night...
  6. As a season ticket holder, advertising board investor, hospitality regular and 2x, yes 2x, raffle winner.... All I can say is Kelty are robbing b*****ds who led to my first divorce and possibly my second..... But I'd do it a third time just see us at the dance! Mon the Kelty!
  7. Looks like the Rovers injury problems say it's a no... Shame because him and scobbie have been formidable.
  8. New signing at 7 tonight? Has to be a centre half for cover surely....
  9. Said this was the rumour the other day..... Not rained for about a week
  10. Rumour has it that Bonnyrigg have been struggling for a team for a month or so... Also does 2 teams play in that "pristine pitch" every week? The league might take issue with that if it causes consistent fixture issues
  11. Really need to commend Ferguson and his staff on the structure of the back 5 Keeper has looked solid all season. Full backs Cennerazzo and Linton looking to be in their peak with mature commanding performances week in, week out. The wand of a left foot on Linton is a game changer in itself. The new centre back pairing giving Kelty an incredible balance along the back line. Scobie a natural leader and started to show his class once getting up to speed. Mendy growing with every game and looking like the dominant presence they have needed at this level. I really felt after last season the defence was needing a restructure and they seem to have found that at a crucial time. Plenty games to play and time will tell but Kelty look to be in a privileged position at the moment with the buzz around the players at the club, Barry's built a dressing room that will rise to the expectations. It's going to be a hell of a season!
  12. In a footballing perspective if Bonnyrigg have players carrying injuries and would rather train/bounce game the fringe players then that's their perogative. The argument of " the league would sort it" at junior level is non starter. These are the guidlines and we move on. I personally think a bounce game for Kelty would work in their favour as some game time for returning players and fringe players would be ideal considering Mutch, in particular, has been a big miss for Kelty while Ross Philp carried the Dylan Easton blow with great energy as always.
  13. Good signing considering there's really only one "recognised" CB in the squad with the addition of the YOUNG lad Bragg. Scrutiny will be there for any high profile signing but Kelty showed last weekend that with a depleted squad they can still compete at a high level. Don't think any real Kelty supporter who turns up every week will have any issue with what they see on the park week in week out at the moment (cumbernauld game aside) Exciting times for the lowland league and could also see some more established league clubs come into the lowland and find it hard to escape also... Don't think theres been such a microscope on lower league football in Scotland and Kelty are at the forefront of this new wave... Long may it continue!
  14. Important to keep the feel good factor going for Kelty on the road this weekend. Just not sure with Edusports name change what shape of ball will be in play... There will definitly be a few helmets kicking about but shoulder pads I'm not so sure
  15. Still plenty positives from the game... Solid minutes for Danny Ashe and Cernazzo, both really steady looking players. McKenzie in goal looked comfortable already. The team does look like it'll be another 2/3 games away from finding a rhythm but not unexpected with so many new faces. Though all 3 of the pars goals were exceptional last night and a group of boys who have been together a few years just had the edge in the first 25 mins, which was played at a rapid pace. Heard there season starts at the weekend so no surprise how sharp they were.
  16. Really looking forward to tonight's game, Kelty moved the ball around well against Kinoull and the new additions are looking like the beginnings of an exciting season ahead. More new faces tonight against a solid opponent should be a good challenge to get a result.
