Beginning to hope the outcome is delayed for UEFA to seriously look at weeding out multiple applications. Don't see much wrong with say, if there's four of you looking to go, and each of you apply on behalf of you all for the games you want, and hopefully getting them within the 4 applications. But there are people on that forum I linked above putting in 50 applications on their own behalf by slightly changing spellings etc, and another talking about "using different tools, scanners and all other sorts of help in FCFS", whatever the f**k that means. Touts will probably be doing that x1000. Not that I haven't jumped a queue before, just wish I'd known the score before my solitary application.

The people on that forum aren't that bad.  My friend swears by them though and had used that place quite a few times over the years to get a bunch of us tickets for France 2016 and for the Brazil and Russia World Cups.  They have a zero tout policy and it becomes a popular place to buy and trade tickets when it gets a bit closer to the tournament all at face value.

FCFS refers to 'first come first serve', one of the names of a sales phase in the past where tickets are added to the ticket portal sporadically and whoever adds them to their cart first and pays gets the ticket(s) - for example for EURO2020 this will happen from March onwards when the resale tickets are sold on the website.  Appears straightforward, but in the heat of the moment when there are many people trying for the same tickets it can become a little tougher and a long drawn out process.

The "tools/scanners" refers to anything such as a refresh plug-in on your web browser, editing scripts to display slightly different information on the ticket web page, an app that notifies you via email or sms when tickets are added to the website, a browser plugin that can let you force add to cart at a time when you know tickets are being added but there is a lag in what is displayed versus what is able to be carted, a ticket browser that can automatically cart your specified match category and quantity etc.  Sounds a little unbelievable I'd agree!

There are nations already doing this, and its becoming more common. Wales had 300 fans denied entry in Hungary because the name on the ticket did not match their ID. Its something UEFA are looking at implementing further down the line.

Agree, I think it is the same in Italy and am wondering if they will do this for the Rome matches at Euro.  But for the most part it is just not possible to check everyone, nor deny half the crowd entry and have that many empty seats and angry boozed up fans outside the ground.

Or if tickets are ID checked at the grounds.

Quite unrealistic to check ID of thousands of people matching up to tickets.  All people really want is that the ticket is valid and genuine and to get people through as efficiently as possible.  Especially if they go the same route as previous UEFA events where the same name of the primary account user is printed on every ticket of that order.

If both Scotland and England qualify, it'll be a toss of a coin to see if the game's at Hampden or Wembley.  Both countries are guaranteed min 2 games at home, but one of us will obviously have to have 3.

If England and Scotland qualify directly it will go to the flip of the coin (or a draw) at the draw at the end of November.  But if for example Scotland qualify via the playoff at the end of March I think it is commonly suggested that the match between the two would be at Wembley in this situation (assuming England qualify directly).

Can't remember if they asked for passport details or not, but maybe there's no block on multiple applications? The other posters on that forum seemed to think multiple applications was the norm.

Passport details don't really matter this early in the application round.  Say for example in many countries a passport has a ten year validity before you need to apply for a new one in order to travel.  Well in theory then there could be 10% of all people's passports expiring in the next year leading up to the tournament as we are applying a year beforehand.  Yes they say when you login that your information must be accurate and cannot be changed blah blah blah but it actually can just by contacting them closer to the time and providing the necessary proof of identity (this has been confirmed in that other forum linked).

In terms of multiple applications, this can range from applying with real identities of all your family members and friends as seperate accounts to applying in multiple versions of yourself such as fudging details of name (eg. John Jon Jono Jimmy James Jonathan), date of birth made up or swapped (ie. americanised month then date),  a different address or formatted differently, passport number one digit or letter different/swapped, different IP address and part of the world, different bank card payment etc.  Not that difficult if you wanted to do these things.  No one knows what kind of  checks or controls UEFA have in place this time to prevent these sorts of things but they have worked in the past no problems according to other forums and people.  One may come in to problems if you ever have to deal with people face to face and couldn't prove a certain identity or if you are found out, but for a ballot application one year previous where tickets are then sent to your address much later (if this does happen instead of Mobile App ticketing that was also suggested) there wouldn't really be too many problems.  Not condoning this sort of behaviour though.

Also the numbers and probabilities that other user is suggesting are a little off or very simplified but along the right track.

  6. Has to be porkies. Plus someone should tell him how to read the schedule as an England vs. Wales R16 in Glasgow requires Wales to qualify then top Spain's group and see England come third along with a few other combinations of other group results which is a pretty strange thing to predict in a tickets post this early. I'd say once someone hears something we will know and it's likely to appear in the ticket portal too. Fingers crossed we all get some good news soon!

P.S. I hope to f**k England don't make it to Budapest in the second round.

The idea of a quarterfinal trip to Baku following a Budapest Round of 16 clash wouldn't ruffle any English feathers one bit I'd imagine 😇

You can be successful for some and not for others, however, if you were to be successful for all Glasgow games, a game in Bilbao, and a game in London, you either have to pay for them all, or pay for none of them. You couldn't just say - I fancy 1 Glasgow, 1 London and 1 Bilbao and pick and choose. You either pay for them all or none.

Of course as per the FAQ on the website.  It would be a pretty silly system otherwise if you could just pick and choose afterwards.

You won't just get some of the games. Your application is for all games or nothing.

I was under the impression that each match was drawn individually and you could be partially successful for some of the matches you apply for.  For example getting a quarter of the matches, or getting everything apart from the final.  Unless you were simply giving me your vote of confidence which in that case I tip my hat to you ;)

  10. I applied for a match in each of Amsterdam, Bilbao, Budapest, every Glasgow match + London knockouts.  Mostly CAT3 apart from Bilbao Saturday group match CAT2.  Not expecting to get the Amsterdam or London ones but would love to go to Bilbao for a weekend.  Fingers crossed now.  Best of luck to all.
