My father once bought by mum a lovely glasses case. She does not wear glasses.

Unsure if I should share this here, especially as I'm not sure how to use the spoiler function, so if you're easily upset skip the rest of this.
Last night I had such a horrific and confusing dream. Its afternoon now and I'm still not over it. I barely ever remember my dreams as well, so God knows why this one has stayed with me.
I'm my dream I was the owner of Falkirk Football Club. I am not a Falkirk fan nor do I live in or near Falkrik. As you can imagine I am still slightly shaken by it. What does it mean? Why would my brain do this to me?

Daily Heil spewing up fictional bile ahead of a supposed Tommy Nobinson march on Saturday...
It's not fictional. I can exclusively reveal it was me wot did it. Noted Hibs hard man beans on toast.
I saw that old c**t standing there raising money for a charity and as the most ridiculous Mr Griffin (step aside Peter) correctly noted, us far-left liberals absolutely hate the idea of charity. He's lucky I only managed one punch before the crowd carried me away on their shoulders.

Some may accuse me of being overly negative given our recent results in competitive games and how much better we are than the opposition, who have far less points than us, but I'd take a draw tonight.

We cheer?

Being realistic, it's crazy to think in 5 years we will have matched the achievements of France and Spain and be World and European champions.

Is it possible to simultaneously not believe this is happening and absolutely believe this is happening at the same time?
That sums it up perfectly for me. I thought we'd win but this is unreal.

It’s quite interesting (well for me anyway) to compare the expected reactions if Hibs were to appoint Mackay due to his past and the differing reaction (possibly) if Martindale got the job.
I’m just saying out loud that it is strange that the expected reaction for Mackay would be far worse than it would be for Martindale and it does bring about an interesting question as to why one is more acceptable than the other despite evidence to suggest one is a worse crime - based on sentencing for the different offences etc.
For me Clive, it's because Martindale has shown remorse and tried to better himself. People, not everyone, generally deserve a second chance and he seems to have gone about things the right way since he commit said crimes.
Mackay, and I may well have missed this so happy to be proven wrong here, seems to have shown no remorse for being a racist p***k.
To me that's the difference.
Having said that, I'd still not be overly happy with Martindale as manager.

Glad you're still going with this. I've enjoyed reading along for literally years. It'll be some moment when you finally do it, good luck.

We all love beans on toast. Do you butter the toast before adding the beans?
Thank you, lovely to hear.
As I am an exuberant gentleman I do butter the toast before adding beans.

Another radio comment from this morning... Truss sacking Kwarteng for implementation of her "policies" is like Keith Harris sacking Orvile for saying something on stage he didn't like.
No, no, no I cannot agree with this. I refuse the beleive there is an accurate metaphor involving a puppet where Truss is not the dummy.

Are you suggesting they get John Hughes in?
Would he be any worse?
He'd have the pound playing some lovely, if ineffective, stuff.

I feel Number 10 needs to get the experts at The Rangers in to draft a sensible statement to clear up this mess.
Releasing a letter sacking himself man. How has nobody had a quick once over of that before sharing it? If this was in The Thick of It you'd think they'd have taken it too far.

Is it actually a press "conference" or a press statement? In a conference, she might actually be expected to answer questions. Questions are like Kryptonite to Truss.
A fair point. I'm not sure if it is a conference or just a statement.
Still, would you bet on her reading a statement out correctly? Whatever form it takes will be enjoyable viewing. I look forward to hearing about her plan to get this country back on track after she and her government has taken it off the tracks and set fire to it.

I cannot wait to hear her excuses for firing Kwasi and continuing as PM.
"He did exactly as I asked him to, but it caused absolute mayhem the likes of which this country had never seen, so I'll find someone else to... do the opposite of what I ask? To do as I ask and then fire them next month..."
The mental gymnastics from noted public speaker Lizz Truss will be a joy to watch.

I have very little sympathy for Kwasi, but imagine being in a situation where you are sacked for literally doing what your boss told you to. Mental.
What an absolute rabble they are.

Also Im not usually one to tend to a vegetable patch but I am intrigued as to where you can get seeds to grow pies?
A pie tree obviously.
I am delighted Liz is going to lead us to produce bigger pie trees, which I will claim a share of.
This anti growth coalition wants smaller pie trees and. That. Is. A. Disgrace.

As your example shows, more than half in that case pay more than the average. The Guardian sentence stated that "by the laws of maths" half of people would pay more than the average.
Ah I see, I did not focus on that part of the sentence, but you are correct then.
I humbly offer my apologies.

Well I'm glad some idiot didn't spent 10mins with calculator, an abacus and a notebook trying to suggest otherwise.

This statement is incorrect.
I may be outting myself as an idiot here but... is it?
If you have 4 people paying £500, £6,000, £6,500, and £7,000 a year (obviously extreme examples) the average is £5,000. However more than half of these 4 people will be paying more than the average.
Is that not what this sentence means? I'm not commenting on whether it's accurate, just that it seems possible.
