  1. Great 3 points today. Think the mussy fans will be disappointed they never got a point! First half we dominated and probably should have went in half time more than 1-0 up. Second half mussy dominated the ball, we always looked dangerous on the counter. They got the pen and we then started to play again. Mussy down to 10 (harsh decision) but gave the ref a call to make. The second red was a shocker when Devlin was going to score, and looked like he should have had a pen just before from a poor tackle from the same player. Delighted with the win, the second half blues seems to be an issue but this team keeps grinding results Great crowd well over 400 I’d imagine and on that performance mussy in a false league position. Nice to see many old faces.
  2. I remember him now. He’ll be perfect for when we play BU! Nice and physical. Delighted if Rutherford is back, we have missed his runs down the left.
  3. Anybody seen the new signing Kyle Landers from Nitten? Can’t say I remember him from our game earlier in the season! Expecting a hard game tomorrow, mussy will have got a big lift from last weeks result against Bo’ness, think even CJ expected an away win! Do we have Ben, Barrett or Rutherford back yet? Big players and certain starters if fit.
  4. Ive only recently started posting on P&B, enjoyed reading people’s debates so I thought why not get involved. I do remember reading the comments and I’m surprised no one pulled them. I’m sorry to hear that and can honestly say it’s not something I hear a lot of when standing in the stand at Tranent. I would say there is the odd shout that you think, that’s a poor shout, on reflection most fans have made a comment or a shout and thought afterwards, I wish I never said that. I know I certainly have!
  5. Steady CJ. I alluded to chat at our game on Saturday, some of the Tranent committee, Management must have been at a mussy game recently! It was people associated with your club made light of the fact that you had opened a social media account to interact with Tranent (common knowledge at your club)!! I’m not on social media so I didn’t see any comments, if you say it’s not true then who am I to disagree, only you’ll know the truth. The game on Saturday will be a tough game for us. I go into every game thinking we will win, I think we will win on Saturday however I thought we would win the league when mussy were in the premier and we were well and truly put in our place both games. So I expect a hard game, you guys seem to be getting your players back from injury and we are still thin on players IMO, however that won’t be an excuse if we get turned over on Saturday. Massive result on Saturday for mussy against a team who I expect whoever finishes above them this year wins the league! Catch you for a pie and bovril Saturday, my shout! We are lovely people in Tranent just passionate about our team like all fans at this level of football.
  6. Get a room boys!! Big Wullie I only say what I see!! You were blocked by the TJ’s because opening fake Facebook account to interact with the club ‘Betty Spence’ you were the talk of the shed a few weeks ago, obsessed with everything Tranent. You’re a grown man ffs but you enjoy a health debate!!! More faces than the town clock. Ok Wullie, a few 15 year old lads made a few poor shouts at a game against the BU’s hardly a massive difference from the 70 year old pensioners doing the same from your club every week, but your lot choose to ignore that.. Most Tranent fans would be the first to tell a fellow support to behave themselves if they weren’t playing the game.
  7. Completely agree, looking at Whitehill’s results it’s definitely 2 points dropped. Always the same with Dalkeith teams (half there team is EX Dalkeith) come to Tranent put a performance on then get skelped the next 4/5 games. 10 goals scored in the past 2 games and one against, stupid tackle by Lewis yesterday to give away the pen for Sauchie. Not sure if Calvin has changed the formation slightly looks more of a 4-2-3-1 IMO. It looks solid and creating plenty of chances. Looking forward to the Berwick game, I think we will have to much for them.
  8. You are bang on Halfwit his energy and drive is up there with the best I’ve seen at this level. The way he plays the game you can tell he’s probably played or at least been coached at a high level. What about his run in the second half.. The laddie Murphy is something else too, how he never featured much at Berwick last year is beyond me.
  9. Crossgates are a very decent team, played them 3 times last year, twice at home and once in the Kingdom. The game away we were well and truly beat, and the semi final at home they were 2 up before we got a 50/50 pen decision in our favour. They have had a poor start this season but they will beat plenty of teams at home. They have a striker up top who was very good. Looking forward to the derby in a few weeks. I’m sure it will be a good game, mussy have a good record against Tranent.
  10. How many players do we actually have signed? It’s not like we can go and bring additional players in at this stage. We can’t continue to challenge on all fronts without subs to change games. The positives are last year we went to Crossgates with a depleted squad and we were well and truly beat, the start to the season has been positive and we have a number of key players injured. Does anyone know how long they will be out for? I know Ben and Brad’s injuries but what about Rutherford, Black, Sinky & Mackenzie?
  11. Great 3 points for the boys today. I thought the scoreline as a true reflection of the game. Big Dean with an absolute screamer 30 yards out and a Scott Moffat top corner. Thought it was Scott’s best game since joining the club, he continues in the kind of form he will be a great asset. I counted 5 first team regulars missing today, huge credit to the manager and his team for recruiting properly and making sure the team isn’t weakened when injuries etc creep in. Special mention to Grant Nelson who came and helped the team out today. He’s a top player, pity he’s going travelling.
  12. I agree 100%. I spoke to the Chairman Davy last week down the street, he mentioned the club doing a masterplan for further developments which included a hospitality suite down the bottom corner and a new all seater stand. It’s exciting when you speak to the guys and the passion comes flooding through. One things for sure when they say they are planning to do something it gets done. First things first and the floodlights are key, he did happen to mention there has been a few large anonymous donations from supporters and we have the fundraiser in a few weeks time that should do well.
  13. See the Clubs Twitter page has announced we have planning permission to install floodlights. Be interesting to see if that can be achieved financially, I know all the ducts and cabling was done throughout the summer. Hats of the club, what they have achieved at Foresters in the last few years is scary. The lights and then hopefully SFA license would be a fitting reward for all the hard work.
  14. Nice touch from a mussy fan . No intention from the young Hibs player IMO just a poor tackle, two committed players. He’s off to hospital I would imagine so fingers crossed. Cheers
  15. Sincerely hope Ben Miller is ok are a poor challenge from the big Hibs centre half! Standard of officials is so poor, he didn’t think it was a foul!! It was a straight leg and most probably put him out for a number of weeks/months. Young Bradley never appeared after the break neither after landing awkwardly after another heavy challenge, fingers crossed he’s ok for Saturday. Decent game against a very fit well organised Hibs youths. Big crowd circa 450 helping towards the floodlights fund. Fingers crossed the injured duo aren’t out for any length of time. Some of the new boys are starting to settle into the team nicely, Donaldson and Murphy with Hill in the middle are looking the part. The boy Jones is causing defenders the fear with his direct style and pace. Young Craig Reid has done well at left back considering it isn’t his natural position.
  16. The big man has been very good, nothing flashy but knows how to score goals. He works hard for the team, he will score easy double figures IMO if he stays fit. Looked like Calvin changed the formation yesterday and I thought it worked well!
  17. Good win yesterday, thought it could have been more and Gala couldn’t have complained. They had a few missing seemly! Saying that no Hawkins, Rutherford or Black for the TJ’s. The early signs have been positive with all the new lads settling in well, still think we aren’t playing amazing but doing enough in games to pick up the win. Hard game this Saturday away to Sauchie never an easy venue to pick up 3 points.
