  1. The problem with Traynor is he isn't very good at PR.

Controversial client? Claim they have been suffering from depression or invent some other health problem. If they're from an ethnic minority, claim they have been subjected to racism. Paint them as a victim.

The papers have a story and these are hard to prove as lies and anyone questioning them can be made to look bad.

Traynor is too keen to complicate things. His fabrications can be proven as fabrications.

Sportsound is only ever worth listening to when Stewart is on on a Monday night, preferably with Tom English. I mentioned before the apology that BBC Scotland might now prefer an evening of blandness with David Currie and Leanne Crichton types who would never dream of saying anything worth listening to. I wasn't joking.

Cross and Lewis chucking BDO darts. 83 average each. No rhythm at all from either.

God, for a relatively young man Adie looks an absolute wreck.

I think Price has to be favourite now. Boo Hiss.

I've heard the BDO have since sent out details of the reduced prize money for their World Championship competition.

Chairman Des Jacklin has decided that the women losing in the first round of the Ladies' event will be the only ones not affected.

Good news for his wife Paula Jacklin then after her being beaten 0-3, 0-3 and failing to get a dart at a double.

    Parasite - 7/10

Started off well but kinda lost its way in the last half hour or so. Still worth a watch

I kind of see why you had a problem with the ending but I loved the film. One of my 3 favourites of the year along with Joker and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Could be an interesting Oscars this year for a change.

Is it just me or does Wayne Warren look like he's had a couple of shandies beforehand? With his daughter possibly.

If he did, it worked, he won 7-4. He averaged 93.59, with Williams averaging the slightly higher 94.53 but worse on the doubles.

Aye, the cameras showed him at the break with a pint. Not something I have an issue with as I'm old enough to remember the game in the 1980s!

Enjoyable final and I just hope he gets paid for winning it eventually.

  6. Wee Mikuri definitely the best female player in the world at the moment.

Pity she doesn't even know how much money she has just won and no-one else seems to know either. I assume the BDO chairman must have hugely important business elsewhere as he doesn't seem to have have managed to make it along  to the darts tonight.

    What an utter shambles.

Whats the script with the women playing best of 3 sets still in the semi finals? Tragic stuff.

Another stupid decision by the BDO, an organisation that was recently talking up equality in the game between the sexes.

Now they're crowdfunding to boost the women's prize money but not the men's. Women playing 3 sets in the semis, the men playing best of 11.

    Anyway, mon wee Mikuri.

I don't think there has been a weekday evening show either recently, It would have  been nice if they had a couple of programmes and spent some time on the lower leagues.

No, it wasn't on on Monday, the only night I can be bothered listening to it as Michael Stewart is on.

Superscoreboard was on though discussing the Scottish lower leagues in detail old firm transfer rumours.

Latest talk is only 23k for the mens  winner.

They must be making a loss every session on this.

Have been very impressed with beau greaves in the womens competition. Would like to see her win it.

Pretty much everyone apart from Ross Montgomery has announced an intention to go to Q school.

I've read elsewhere that Gary Stone, Ross Montgomery and some other player have all in the past few days been quoted different prize money by the BDO.

And the most rank amateur chairman in world sport is utterly incapable of setting things straight.

On the bright side for the competition I think the match tonight between Suzuki and Greaves could be a cracker.  I had a few quid on Suzuki at the start of the tournament but this lassie Greaves is a real talent. Would have made a cracking final this.

As for this afternoon's session, good luck selling more tickets for this lineup -

    Warren v Landman
    Ashton v Hammond
    Evans v Vandenbogaerde

  10. A loosener according to Tony O'Shea.

I'm more likely to watch women's darts than men's in the BDO but this is appalling. Leg won in 43 darts, which makes the standard down the Dog and Duck look like the PDC.

Not great odds obviously but if anybody wants free money Lisa Ashton is 4/11 to beat Paula Jacklin 2-0 at the BDO Women's World Championship.

    Please gamble irresponsibly.

Managed to also get 5/1 on Lisa Ashton winning 3-0, 3-0. Fantastic value bet, so I've won a good few quid and I'm also delighted to see that classless auld hag Jacklin not even get a shot at a double.  She really is an obnoxious woman and being the wife of the BDO chairman, her behaviour in person and on social media really reflects very badly on the organisation.
