Jaywick. Always on the news & nobody seems to have a job.

Most depressing place in England has to be the housing estates behind the promenade in Blackpool.

Strange place those estates. Went to see Blackpool play Man United about ten years ago when I actually bothered about English football and noticed that all the corner shops around that way had multiple ads for swingers. So at least the folk staying there get up to some fun.

  2. I'm not usually someone who bothers going to see any films based on comic book characters but was encouraged to go along to see Joker by my son, who said I couldn't help but be impressed by it and the fact that Joaquin Phoenix was starring - he might just be the best actor in the world right now.

He puts in a stellar performance here and it was good to see Robert De Niro not embarrassing himself - something that's become far too common in the his career in the last couple of decades.

Quite a long film but I remained pretty much gripped throughout.  No need to to resort to the usual CGI bollocks either.

I'm surprised I enjoyed it so much and anybody giving it only two stars really must have an agenda. Recommended.

I should have known better than to attempt satire on an OF* thread.😐

This defeat is obviously down to 4 issues.

    1. That horrendous pitch which should not be allowed in the the top flight.

    2. A biased referee.

    3. The over physicality of the Livingstone players.

    4. The fact that some Celtic players were clearly tired after that sensational performance on Thursday night.

Aberdeen did not finish 3rd last season.

They've been stuttering this season, while Rangers have made a habit of hammering sides.  This outcome was absolutely "achingly predictable", as DA Baracus said.

    It was not remotely "astonishing".

Cowan is something of a disgrace these days.

If the result was achingly predictable then I'm guessing the majority of posters on here were predicting it and the bookies had Rangers priced at odds on -4?

A kiss would be enough for me tbh. A snog or a pumping is just the same; it's a betrayal of trust. The act itself is irrelevant.

I don't buy the booze excuse either for people as I think the booze just helps them to do what they really want to do.

Everyone will be different and it's no one elses place to judge but me and my Mrs are on the same page with this thankfully. I don't understand why people feel the need to cheat anyway. If you don't want to be with someone, tell them. Why put them through even more hurt and f**k their trust in any other relationships they have.

With the best will in the world there's not a person alive who, even if you're together with the love of your life, could say with 100% certainty that they would never cheat. If Margot Robbie came over to you in your local and asked you to go up the road with her then you're going.

If Margot Robbie was up for a shag, then I'd happily agree  never to see the missus again, publicly support every statement made by Boris Johnson and agree to go and watch Sevco every time they play at Ibrox. Without hesitation.

McBurnie is absolutely dreadful, and is only being chosen because he's went for big bucks to the EPL. He is still garbage, and I'd much rather see in form players get a game than him.

Aye, I'm sure Steve Clarke is the kind of idiot that watches him and thinks, 'He's no very good but went for megabucks so he's in my team.'

    Wonder Woman

What is it with all these superhero films that they have to be an hour longer than necessary and so full of such interminably dull smashing-through-buidlings CGI fights?

Gal Gadot's a wid at least.

    5/10

I think they need constant smashing through buildings CGi to stop you analysing the plots too closely. If you do, you realise how stupid they are, i.e Black Panther.

Gal Gadot is my type of gal. Stunning. A mega-Wid.

  8. Strangely we don't hear too much about modern day slavery in Africa in places like Mauritania.

I heard a woman from work recently talking about how Glasgow had swept its slavery connections under the carpet, although everybody I know knows about it and none of them are  remotely proud of it.

I mentioned Mauritania, and she obviously knew nothing about it.

Because Thunberg is so young, the media have no opportunity to push her off message and sabotage her with sketchy indiscretions from her past, real examples of hypocrisy. There is purity in what she is doing. This is why so many grown adults in positions of power have resorted to trying to belittle her as a child etc. It will get more vicious the more she gets her message across, but it can and never have substance and will just make more and more people look fucking ridiculous.

Case in point, an idiot like Malky digging out a 16 year old lassie because of the mode of transport she used, whilst she was on her way to take strips off the leaders of the planet with billions of eyes watching. Greta Thunberg represents a magnet. One pole attracting millions to her cause, the other pole drawing in idiots and making sure we all know who the idiots are.

    I approve.

I was very uncomfortable watching her latest speech and now feel she is being used. She's obviously a very unstable teenage girl and I wish she could take a break from her activism although I doubt this will happen.

If she continues down this road I fear it is going to make her very ill.

Just hearing on the radio that Partick have approached McCall. And Alan Archibald has been offered the number 2 role.

Why would McCall take the Partick job though? Partick aren't a 'bigger' club than Ayr just now. He has a loyalty to Ayr as well. In addition Ayr are simply a better team just now. His job is secure and it looks like he could definitely challenge for the playoffs again.

Think it would be a daft move for McCall to take it. Not saying he won't if he's offered it though.

Must be true if Chic Young says it is.

I do think McCall will be boss but now I'm beginning to doubt it.

The word 'unbelievable' is often used out of context but when a football commentator sees a big lad score a header unmarked against a 5th tier scottish team it hits the mark.

ETA. I dont type quick enough. p***k.

I'm still in an absolute state of shock after that goal. Did that really happen? I mean something so utterly unbefuckinglievable?
