I've never understood newspaper tipsters. If they are good tipsters why do they need to share this information with others? It's always interesting to look at their tips after the event.

Some people love to sound like they know everything, their the old wind bags who prop up the bar talking like they know it all, but they know jack sht.

  2. How can you judge the team if you're not there?

Several players were just brushed off the ball today. We faded badly in the second half.

A Peterhead fan confirms that we didn't exploit their weakness, which is pretty obvious apparently.

I'll admit to being a bit ranty and annoyed but I'd rather point out what's going wrong rather than just throw in the towel and just roll over and accept part time football as if nothing could have been done about it.

The board seemed to have found money for yet more players, why not spend that on a decent coach? We could get so much more out of these players and I've talked about their weaknesses. It's not acceptable to ask fans to contribute to this complete waste of resources that is our current coaching staff.

What the feck do they do all day? Shite at set pieces, poorly organised formations that don't make sense, lack of shooting on target from anywhere outside the six yard box, poor bizarre substitutions, lack of adaptation or any study of opponents players or tactics.

All Potter has introduced is to try and stop the pointless passing about the backline and got them to chip balls forward into the channels. We couldn't even do this most of the time with several going out of play under no pressure.

Why are we not trying to match other teams physically? We have options like Ryan or Spence but no let's pick the untouchable Geggan. Millen unbalances the entire side going forward so let's not sign another right back and get a 35 year old left back? Martin gives away a pen and gets bullied yet will not be picked out for criticism or dropped like Page or Urquart for doing less. Moffat just has to play regardless of form, does he have to end up on tears or what? The man is finished. Ugwu is let go despite being the top scorer along with Chemin who I thought was as good as Fais, certainly had a better footballing brain anyway.

We are getting the piss ripped out of us big time, too much has happened too soon and the directors have to sort out this mess next season with a part time budget and almost an entire squad of diddys.

  3. Really can't believe some of the pish on dot net.

Three or four ex junior players just backing each other up despite getting it wrong week in week out. We just need to click, Forbes produces pieces of magic, Moffat is unlucky.

It's down to terrible coaching and having the wrong players for the league. Ryan Thomson and Whittle are hated by them yet they do no wrong despite getting played out of position all the time yet no mention of Millen or Bryne who do no wrong.

Same people predicted Callum Woods and Bamba were hopeless and were never players.

How hard is it to train people full time, to add muscle or strength or speed? It's not impossible but every one of our players weaknesses has stayed the same for three years.

Millen can't get up the line.

    Martin can't win 50/50 headers.

Bryne is excellent but fades every game.

Moffat tries to walk it in?

Geggan has lost it completely since he got the armband.

Josh does a lot but makes bad decisions when it matters.

    Williamson can't cross.

    Fais is a headless chicken.

Look at Buchanan, he came from the juniors and with a year working part time looks miles ahead of most of our team, physically and mentally.

We need to stop saying we are unlucky and ask questions about why none of our players are working on weaknesses.

Coaching, considering its full time, is a joke. Nothing more to it.

  4. Sorry fans can see they're not getting value for money. The second half performance summed us up. Bullied by a part time side.

Embarrassing and unacceptable for any manager or coach even after two games.

It isn't his first game, I thought he might tweak the team but he's made us just as ineffective looking as before. No width, no clue, no bottle, no fight, no strength, no chance of winning the league.

    Disgusted.

  5. Evidence is on the pitch every week for the last two years.

I'm hoping JJ was a major part of the problem. Tell him he's Pele site seemed to think he was undermining the efforts of what Potter and McCann were doing through the week. Not so sure confidence is anything to do with not being able to pick up players at set pieces or playing several players out of position?

I wouldn't be arrogant enough to say that someone doesn't have a clue or is talking bullshit though. Unless I see evidence of it every week.

  6. What an utter bag of shit. What we lack is confidence.

Are fans still trying to push the lie that we are a team full of young, inexperienced players?

Cowden had younger players but had more experience and were organised and coached better. Also they were just better than us, they weren't though but within six months Jimmy Nicol turned them around.

Same goes for Alloa, Stranraer, Forfar, Morton. We were cruising and still were lucky to beat Forfar and Stranraer in the playoffs.

Poor, unprofessional coaching and management is to blame for losing the big games.

How do you get confidence? From the above.

  7. When you have a good squad that ain't playing as a unit, it ain't going to work. Look at Stranraer. They don't have the best individuals in this league but when they play as a unit they are decent. Time to take a leaf out their book.

Stranraer would bite your hand off to be able to afford players like Buchanan, Moffat and Forbes. Their players work full time yet are more organised and fitter. I guess that despite putting money into the club we are just supposed to sit back and happy clap our way into part time and not complain about the total waste of resources due to unprofessionalism?

Several of the players need a serious reality check, it's either we go up or you're finished in full time football so use eight hours a day to be professional and train like it's your job on the line. The club are overspending to try and give them a platform to do so.

Sorry what I meant to say was, everything at the club is brilliant and there is no problems we are going to win the league.

  8. Potter has a really difficult job on his hands, how do you improve the form of several players with four or five maybe just not being good enough for this level?

Ugwu on his day was far better than Smith and Chemin looked as effective as Stirling albeit with limited exposure.

Millen shouldn't be anywhere near the team IMHO. Forbes, needs to go. Moffat is a waste of a wage. Stirling the same. Page and Martin look suspect but also have potential. Geggan is either unfit or uninterested.

Ideally we need cover for right back when Williamson is out. A striker, will probably get a targetman. A right winger. An experienced centre half and an experienced central midfielder. When the chips are down we seem to lack a real leader, someone like a Hardie or Darren Dods type figure who will win the headers at corners or set pieces and organise others to do the same. We are far, far too soft and easily bullied for a full time team. We should be bullying other teams and also should be fitter. Not losing daft goals and midfield battles.

Full time has been a total waste of time and money. Potter and McCann have to take some of the blame for this too.

It will take a lot to convince me that we are going to win the league. We lack bottle, fight, character, experience and any flair.

It's a disgrace that Forfar and Straraer are ahead of us on the budgets they have.

  9. Inverness, Ross County, Hamilton show what can be done on very limited budgets and being sensible.

Annoys me a little that County and ICT missed out on having to build crazy sized stadiums and build temporary pishy wee stands and get to spend the money on the pitch while clubs like us, Killie and Saint Johnstone had to shell out for white elephants.

I think that's one of the reasons they progressed so quickly while other clubs have stood still.

  10. My ex-boss on FB posted this, as if he's the only one in the world with this epiphany (and he's already been beaten to it by several days by a few newspapers and anybody else who's ever seen the film).

How spooky is this. We have just started to watch World War Z. The opening scene is filmed in George Square but set in America. all the traffic grounds to a halt when a bin lorry starts flying up the road knocking everything down in its path until it finally crashes into another vehicle, that is well spooky.[/size]

Even that on its own wouldn't be worth commenting on. But the fact that he's decided to tag me and everyone else he knows with a Glasgow connection is just odd. Odd, and the mark of being a total binlid.

This is the same guy who posted a song he wrote / performed himself commemorating the 9/11 attacks. :/

Post this video as a reply m9.

    4spooky6me

Edit: don't want to seem insensitive but really when you look at it this guy is using the accident as a cheap means to get a few likes and appear clever on facebook.

Not only that but to then just regurgitate someone else's story and pretend that they are actually watching WWZ.

Might make deleting facebook from my phone a new year resolution tbh. Will still have it on my PC, just can't be arsed with the utter moronic nature of it anymore.

  11. Surely the best thing is to have a company that plans and runs properly for the Christmas rush?

Instead what you'll have is utter chaos and the management having no idea what so ever other than to hit people with a stick in order to get deliveries out. End result, everyone loses apart from the slippery sharks at the top.

How many deliveries can we handle a day? 50? Okay last year at Xmas we have an average of 150 so let's not buy more vans or recruit more workers just fire 150 parcels in a van and see what happens....

Shit, the phones are going crazy with irate customers and the customer service personal are pissed off, the van drivers are pissed off and want to leave. Well if they want to leave then let them, there's plenty more people out there who will do it.

Turns out if we bought the vans and new drivers then it would have probably been cheaper than retraining the new people and losing the business from annoyed customers but let's sweep that under the carpet.

    Quick google confirms my theory

    “Poor poor Royal Mail ”

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Royal Mail part-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Very poor management skills especially of people that have any form of disability. Use heavy handed and bullying tactics to quiet people.

    Cons

Money good for jobs but nothing else.

    Advice to Management

    New management required.

  12. TBH I think I've got a major issue with dot net and seeing the people who backed the previous regime carry on as if nothing has happened and in some instances still be involved with the club.

I do remember being called all sorts of names for suggesting we cheated out way to cup finals and the top six of the SPL but hey ho these people are now working with the club. No point dwindling on it anymore.

I appreciate everything decent people like steaua and others have done for the club and to call it a shambles is a bit hysterical. Reading the article on THHP raised some sore points.

The admin era divided the fans and crowds have slowly dwindled away. The next six months are crucial so let's try and forget the past and move forward.

I can be a moaning git but believe me I only have the best wishes for the club and speak my mind, apologies if anyone finds it too much. My intention isn't to troll or annoy anyone.

  13. By last straw I meant JJ had taken us as far as he could. Been a season ticket holder for over twenty five years.

Perhaps a few realising that JJ should have gone sooner and they were wrong to back him? Rather than have a go at the club because of the admin situation they just project their doubts onto other fans?

Honk is a prime example, someone who hated dot net and all the abuse he used to receive for challenging the Masterton era. Now he attacks anyone who speaks out about how badly JJ or anyone is doing. It seems that the Masterton era has taught us nothing about humility and respect for opinions of others. The club has been a complete shambles since admin and has continued to be so, there is no way to polish the results on the park into something positive. Yes, it's great the club exists but let's not lose touch with reality because of blind loyalty and emotion.

Most fans gave the club a years grace or more to find its feet but this season was about getting results on the park, no excuses. We have the biggest budget, best players, fan base plus the centenary fund so let's not pretend it's not been a disaster so far.

I hope Potter can turn it around but if he doesn't I will still be there next season and the one after that, if wanting value for money and the best performance possible makes me a drama queen then I'm fine with that.

    Merry Christmas fellow Pars fans.

  14. I was delivery some cards today, i've quickly came to loathe people who have a letterbox at the bottom of the door,

My neighbours letter box is about an inch off the ground, I've posted a card twice to them and it did my head in so god knows what the postman thinks.

Karma is that it flaps around in the wind and bangs and they had to tape it shut, came home one day and it was lying on the driveway after a storm!

No idea why you would buy this, especially when you have a wee dog too?
