  1. Got to agree. I don't know if it's like that in all the leagues across the globe, but it's mental how widespread the paranoia is in Scottish football. It's almost become part of the way people support their football teams in this country. You'll go to games and hear guys bawl at the referee for 90 minutes no matter the decisions they give. You'll come on to match threads where you think the referee is having a quiet & lowkey game, then see supporters of the losing team branding him a cheat! There's literally not a single club in Scottish football who's support are above it from what I've seen. I don't have any issue with it generally, but there's always the couple of absolute nutters that take it too far.
  2. Think Gerrard was very much proven right about Livingston today. Job done as far as he's concerned - taken the 3 points from a difficult venue and played Holt like an absolute fiddle in the build up. No long term injuries is a nice bonus from today also.
  3. It's a difficult place to go. Celtic lost there already this season, Gerrard lost there last year. If anything he's paying them respect and trying to use whatever he can to his advantage.
  4. It's called playing the media game. Gerrard has got exactly what he wanted by making sure "Livi's heavy handed tactics" are a talking point leading up to the match. Holt is entitled to his response, but can't help feel it's exactly what Gerrard wanted. Wont complain about that as a Rangers fan.
  5. It's good management though. Type of thing guys like Sir Alex Ferguson used to do all the time with refs. His comments were purely designed to create a discussion point before the game and if anything Holt has played right into that with his response.
