Aye now that they've stopped crying about the fixtures.
Had every right to cry about them ! No other team had that schedule for 6 or 7 weeks!
Teams now have lot more games to play than talbot or Darvel

You are quite correct commenting on the Lowland League is not in any way outrageous. However the OP said he hadn't heard ANYTHING from the Darvel mouths in recent weeks.
What I meant I haven’t heard anyone shouting there mouths off about the league, just going about their business quietly!

If you can call Gall, Kennedy and Co quiet?
If they win the league, then their substantial investment on their project will have been rewarded.
What have you heard them saying recently?
I go to every game watch social media and not heard anything!
The soccer guy right enough just quietly going about their business

Not sure how you came to that conclusion. It is satirical but also pointing out a fact. If Darvel can only muster 300 fans playing Talbot when they are both going for the league what does the future hold.
John Gall is a Killie fan and has been for longer than he has supported Darvel. Why did he get involved at Darvel? Was it because his son was there or he fell out with Michael Johnston the ex Killie Chairman?
Investing in the community is commendable but what is the long term outlook if the team can only muster 300 fans.
If they get promoted to the lowland league or Division 2 how many fans are going to turn up for games versus Civil Service Stollers, Gala, Albion Rovers or Stirling.
Talbot, Kilwinning, Pollok and others have decent supports that will turn out for such games.
I question what the long term aim at Darvel is and how it can be achieved without money constantly being pumped in? What happens when John Gall is no longer involved? The model is meant to be sustainable but how sustainable is it without a growing fanbase.
If Darvel are successful and grow the fanbase will that divert revenue from other clubs like Kilmarnock who John supported first.
Who knows how many Darvel fans will be at the talbot game, you don’t I don’t. The club is sustainable whether John is there or not because he has worked over the years to achieve that.
Seems to me you want him out of there to put more money into Killie because he “supported “ them first!
After the performance last night that wouldn’t be money well spent!
At least at Darvel progress is being made.-1 -

“You’d be in the Conference A”
“Probably”
“Cause you’d still have no fans”
”Or history”
“If it wasnae for the Pieman and his money”
Does the pieman no sponsor your team?

There were certainly a few leaky bladders at the prospect of Pollok and Darvel winning all their matches a few weeks ago but it was more just posters o here than anything from the clubs.

Good to see Shankland back and scoring. Can't comment if we were poor or not has i only see highlights when i can but my point is all I read is so called talbot supporters including urself slate talbot if we lose but today we won and Darvel lost now has talbot supporters we know we do things the hard way so get behind the team and not against them cause today makes up for last week against the team who think they are better than us and against a team who have said they will win every game in hand well that's went out the window
What team said they would win every game in hand?

What comment do you want me to make ?
If the game was in any danger because of late afternoon rain why was inspection not earlier? I was 10 mins away from ground when I got a phone call telling me it was off

Must have missed that! Maybe the ones that were out of favour

Who wanted him sacked? I’ve been at every game and never heard that one!

Think Darvel will be the ones to require a good posting in having to win every single game to the end of the season. Crazy expectation in some opinions, More so when some of the Darvel fans wanted Mick sacked only a couple of months ago for not already winning every game.

What an embarrassment. His own fault for opening his silly mouth. Is there nothing in the licensing criteria about pitch conditions?
Is there any criteria about anyone controlling the weather. The sfa, Darvel or even talbot.

Paddy power, skybet, bet365 aswell as mcbookie all had odds on the 1st game
Mon the papers
I meant the odds on Saturdays games, McBookie was only ones giving odds on 2nd round games. Couldn’t even get them in William Hill shop

I wonder what the odds are for the game on Saturday?
You will get the odds on Friday night on McBookie, they are the only ones doing betting on the early rounds.

Disrespectful ? he was outstanding and has been for years in junior football , best player on the park by a distance
Yeah disrespectful! I never said he wasn’t best player on the park I’m saying your still classing him junior and you were shouting out for a junior player on Friday! All the teams are senior now so that’s where disrespectful comes in!

Bit disrespectful to Jamie Wilson the out and out “junior” player,

Wasnt dire . Nothing between the teams just not getting any breaks just now!

A high percentage of the players are the same who played in the juniors, I think it's now more to do with facilities and off field improvements. Darvel have a tremendous park and club but are lacking on the park even though they are all good players. I think the league has now gone for them and they maybe beat Talbot in a one off but miles behind them in game management.
Realistic fans of Darvel knew they wouldn’t win the league first go, always going to be up against it with the established teams.
All teams going to have a bad spell it’s Darvel turn now.
Lots of points to be dropped yet and twists and turns

Not much of an answer. It's junior football with a different name, if you want to discuss the game fine if your just baiting, night night.
I’m not baiting as more than I say it’s not junior football anymore!
all teams have tried to improve with better players whether they have stepped up from juniors or dropped down a grade from league football.
Im saying it’s supposed to be up a level and the juniors are now gone

Bottom line is we are a target and we have 38 cup finals in the league but we just don’t respond to teams working hard and no giving us a minutes peace , but that’s junior football In the top league , I’d much rather be coming on here singing the praises of the team but u just can’t at present and my bet for darvel to win the league I would say is gone already and that’s woeful in the first week in September
It’s no junior football anymore

Really? Was Darvel the only team that signed players?
