  1. Don't you know everyone is an expert on here on everything to do with the club and much more qualified to comment on these sort of things. Its a disgrace if you ask me and the final straw. I won't be renewing my season ticket until Paypal is dumped and a cheaper service provider for the 50/50s found.
  2. Mutch will be away to Dundee Utd We've no chance of any more permanent signings at this stage Breaches of Covid protocols due to mismanagement Clubs won't loan Falkirk their players because we're a basket case "We are in last chance saloon this season" (without a single game played) Lack of pre-season being used as an excuse for (not yet happened) poor results Just another lovely day on P&B
  3. While not disagreeing in the slightest that Wilson, Miller and Hall are dugsh*te, I don't think today was a disaster. As others have said we were comfortable until the sending off and were looking good for the win against a team who have just spent 7 seasons in the premier. Cove on the other hand were pumped by Peterhead and QP and Airdrie managed 30 shots between them but no goals. We need to make 3 good signings before the league kicks off though.
  4. I don't imagine Holts purpose is anything other to make the goalkeeper training better for the other 2 (didn't Caig say he liked working with 3 keepers?). Doubt we'll ever see him near the team.
  5. We look better than I expected. As others have said, Morrison and Williamson down the right will create plenty. We need a finisher up top and defensively we look very shaky.
  6. Sheerins interviews have been good so far but pre season its easy to stay upbeat and calm. We'll get a better idea of his personality when we go through our first tough spell.
  7. Appearance fees are also likely to come into it with subsequent years maybe only triggering if a certain amount of games are played. Feels like a good question to email the board and ask? Not been mentioned here yet but I see in Sheerins latest interview he puts the friendly cancellation down to Arbroath not having enough players available.
  8. I don't think there's much in it squad wise - it could be argued that overall ours is actually strongest despite the uninspiring signings to date. What's not in doubt I think is that the best players in the league don't play for Falkirk. (Megginson, Fyvie, Murray etc)
  9. As others have said it's ridiculous to call this our worst ever squad when they haven't played a competitive game yet. Despite this, Its almost 100% certain that Hartleys squad was worse. I just think a bit more balance wouldn't go amiss. There's no point in raking up the likes of Campbell and Lang who are long gone. Its fair enough to criticise the current board and hold them to account. So far they've been a mixed bag for me. i don't agree with the appointment and support of Holt and the way they've seemingly dealt with the CI etc but there are also some positives e.g the new management team, the new development team, the new CEO, bringing back McGivern etc. The anti-everything posters haven't even mentioned any of those things over the last few days/weeks - completely ignoring any positives but obsessing over stuff like why a friendly was cancelled or how tickets have been allocated to season ticket holders (which most have said they haven't renewed anyway so why care?!) As for continuing to support the team. Its not blind COYB faith, more the hope that we'll get back to where we were and at this stage of the season (before a ball is even kicked) I think that's fair enough.
  10. Can we all base this truce on the consensus that Holt (Gary) can GTF?
  11. You see this makes sense though personally I don't believe all the bad decisions have been because the board hate us or are out to get us, I just think folk like Campbell were incompetent and made a whole host of poor decisions. I also think the last 4 managers made lots of poor decisions too ( e.g if they had spent their considerable budgets better) would have meant we'd have far less knowledge of what the board are up to. The whole thing has been an ongoing cluster-f**k but from what I read here there doesn't seem to be clear consensus on who needs to go/what needs to change and there does seem to be (at least) a few things that are improving. We need to start winning asap though.
  12. How were the new signings? Vigurs and Draper decent..or past it?
  13. In other news, I see Cove lost 3 v 2 at home to Stirling Albion today.
  14. So you're quite happy with the MSG now then? More iTK than everyone else - good for you.
  15. This "regime" has only been in the door 5mins. We haven't even played a competitive game yet under the current board and there are plenty of encouraging new faces behind the scenes at least. I could 100% get behind a campaign to get rid of Gary Holt but to go on about everything being a conspiracy is hard to believe. What happens if we start getting results on the park - will you (and others) continue to stay away until Deans is gone? Until Rawlins have gone? What's the turning point?
  16. This is complete bollocks. The fans are never the problem. Over the last few years the fans have backed the team to the hilt and been let down by poor management and poor recruitment. By your logic the 1500 who have renewed tickets are to blame for where we are? In this day and age there are far more alternatives vying for peoples time and money than professional football. Its naive to think the board are going anywhere this season so 'starving' the team of support is only going to get more regulars out of the habit of going to games. Regulars who once out of that habit might never go back. Another risk of course is that with no money coming in there is not a club for supporters to come back to. We're having a terrible few years lately but while we still have a club we can get through this period and I for one would much rather the club survived than we turn into the likes of Airdrie in terms of fan numbers as well as matching them for dross on the pitch. I'm not even sure a lot of those withholding ticket money actually know what they're trying to achieve. You just need to look at things like the recent comment above that talks about not buying a season ticket until the MSG are gone. Then you've got MSG GTF both don't seem to realise the MSG aren't running the show any more. For a lot of others, SA and MR have gone from being the toxic root cause of everything bad at the club to shining knights in armour, Falkirk fans at heart who supported the Navy Blue bid and should have been trusted. The hyprocracy is staggering. Meanwhile I really wish we'd sign a decent player or two and am personally looking forward to getting back to watching my team play.
  17. Gary Holts son 3 signings to go... (hope we're leaving Messi till last)
  18. Can only hope these 2 and 3 year deals are part of the supposed new heavily incentivised pay structure. E.g 2nd year triggers if targets are hit (mins on pitch, goals per game, league position etc)
  19. Can only hope he brings his 19 goals in 0 games Rothes form.
  20. Uh oh... take that back (Wilson ) had a good 30seconds of positivity there
