  1. I agree, he wouldn’t be my choice but I wouldn’t be as surprised as I would be with some of the names spouted already.
  2. Considering we’ve now got McCart and with Rooney incoming it could be suggested someone likes what Robertson is doing. May just have been Wright but Robertson wouldn’t surprise me at all.
  3. According to McBookie Someone had £50 on Hartley
  4. But you are using Dundee attendances to make a comparison so include the populations that these stats are drawn from surely?
  5. What’s the population of Dundee? Population of Perth?
  6. All the wee teams supporters getting their annual ejaculation in is quite funny.
  7. We were one of the last clubs to furlough our players.
  8. From where? You do realise that in the era of social media most of the stuff you read is nonsense?
  9. Apparently they presumed every team would win the remainder of their games. Hearts would still go down under this method.
  10. There was an attempt to change it when Rangers died but Aberdeen (Stewart Milne) voted with Celtic
  11. Bottom line is, every club will ask “what’s in it for us?” And if it’s not financial it won’t run.
  12. I think that would give most club chairmen a seizure.
  13. I think you make a good point. I did consider that and it may be the case. Without minimising our club’s achievements I think it was probably a bit easier then, European Cup was a Real champions cup etc and the money going into the “Big Five” leagues now makes getting near finals a huge achievement for our clubs. The financial gap in Scotland is comparable. Celtic have as much a financial advantage in Scotland as they have a disadvantage in Europe. I’m not sure a bigger league will change that. Having said that I don’t really enjoy playing any teams four times in a season but there will be a downside to reconstruction. Fans say it will give the teams more of a chance to play youngsters but many teams are now bringing through their own players. It’s more about them being good enough.
  14. I’m old enough to remember the18 team league and, after Christmas, for most clubs it was boring
  15. Bundle of laughs aren’t you? At least let us enjoy it for a little while before the “we’re doomed”
  16. Feels weird tonight. Out of the cup but very happy at the progress we are making with a young side that should only get better.
  17. I thought this was a brilliant interview from Wright. Tried to lift the gloom that had descended without being unrealistic, positive without being irrational. Think it was one of his best interviews.
  18. Of the 15000 who went to the cup final how many didn’t know that football clubs have season tickets? I believe that If anyone wanted to buy a season ticket they would have.
  19. I don’t particularly like the three stands thing but I do understand it and find it difficult to argue with it. I think Saints are in danger of losing season tickets over it. Some people get a bit possessive and would take the seat home if they could. Now you can suggest they are wallopers all you like but they are what they are.
