New Striker in talks with McInnes. Aberdeen are trying to strike a deal to get him in January. Hibs and Aberdeen have offered Alan Campbell a deal that would make him potentially their highest paid player.

Watkins isnt coming back this season as he will be completing his rehab with Bristol City. Watkins and Alan Campbell are top of McInnes precontract signings along with extending existing players cobtracts such as Taylor, McClennan and Wright. We are not after Declan Gallagher. Ive been told Brophy isnt happening. Aberdeen havent spoken to either of them.

Gary Mackay Steven has agreed a 2 and a half year deal with us. Cadden was on McInnes' radar. The budget wouldn't allow for us to sign both and McInnes felt we needed attacking options at this stage of the season.

McInnes is trying to have 2 players in by The Rangers match on the 10th of January. GMS and a defender. 4 players in total this window with Edmondson, Watkins, Cosgrove and Hernandez all leaving. Ross County want 500k for Ross Stewart.

We are set to offer both GMS and Chris Cadden a contract.

Update: Hamilton game is going ahead irrespective of the city lockdown. Aberdeen have fined the players involved. Edmondson is NOT injured. He's expected to start on Wednesday. However we are looking at getting in another striker.

Beside Brian Rice at Hamilton, McInnes fielded more youngsters than any other club last season.

This. He's had a horrid time with injuries so I hope for him he can finally have some luck and rebuild his career. Potentially one of the best defenders in the league and by some way.

Edmondson (Striker) joins Aberdeen on a 6 month loan deal from Leeds Utd.

So long as everything goes well with Hoban until New year he'll be offered a 2 year deal. He is Mckenna's (when he leaves) long term replacement. Currently he is covering for Devlin's injury. We are looking at another defender however (on loan) for when McKenna does eventually leave. Edmondson is a short term fix however we are still hoping to sign the international striker. The sale of Cosgrove would have covered the cost of the new striker however Aberdeen are now trying to source funds so not sure what will transpire there.

With Devlin out for 3-4 months and with Aberdeen expecting bids for McKenna Aberdeen are looking to sign Hoban AND a defender on short term loan.

It would only be a 6 month loan deal.

Aberdeen are hoping to have Edmondson on loan before Saturday. We are also chasing a centre back on loan.

Obviously not on the cards anymore. Its really bad news if we are intending to sell him because if he is out until Christmas it means he wont have kicked a ball for just under a year. He will now have to repeat his prior goalscoring stats when he returns from injury otherwise we wont receive the sort of fee we'd hoped for. I'm not sure if he will. Clubs won't be rushing back in for him. Mckenna is still expected to be sold. Hopefully we can get a decent fee for him. Again, I was told 5 million is what the club believe they can receive. Now that the English leagues are all finished we may hear more on that front.
