  1. Not exactly correct there.the alex cup was played for by clubs not in membership of the sfa.the reason to use it for Scottish entry was to try and of set the imbalance with the juniors who only had girvin as a member.the other avenues for the juniors was league winners and the junior cup winner. at the time only the eos champion got through to the Scottish.to allow this they had to play off with the sos.again causing a imbalance.
  2. Yeah your perfectly correct and has been discussed.unfortunatly some in the big hoose only want 16 teams leagues or we could start a lowland league two which would mean all the present teir 6 league's would have to go to teir 7.which we have talked about but that is unfair.reconstruction is not to far away i know the spfl have discussed that.the only thing is they need to vote yes.unlike the sfa it would be members voting.think they would only look out for them selfs.hence forcing the lowland league to take brechin into the league if relegated.
  3. Relegation promotion. Until the spfl open up automatic ventilation at their end i dont see the lowland league relegating 2 clubs and why should they if their champion gets beaten in the play off and the spfl club gets relegated it means 1 more club drops down so inefect that would be 3 clubs.
  4. A wee bit harsh with that thinking.the sos have been playing at teir 6 for a number of years now.the wos has not even started!!! yet.but people still want to have ago at changing things.when since 2012 this prymid was first talked and all we got from meetings with the sjfa their clubs have no interest in it.now it seems they want to take it over and run it.lets just be happy the west clubs are now finally on board.lets turn our attention to the north.
  5. Sorry i forgot to add bonnyton into the mix.66 clubs in total.
  6. Posted this before Glasgow uni have applied.strathclyde uni have NOT applied. only one other non junior club HAS applied along with 63 junior clubs a total of 65 clubs for the new wosfl.
  7. Glasgow uni.have applied.Strathclyde uni.have not applied.the only other non junior club is drumchappel am.
  8. Undoubtedly access to a 20s development league is there and regionally setup would just be common sense EK.Bsc.bonnyton.all have teams at that level they might apply to join.
  9. The south challenge cup.is the main trophy for clubs in the lowland league area.eos.sos.& wos.games are set around the league fixture's which all clubs take part in.(compulsory) the Scottish junior cup will be for clubs who have or will retain sjfa membership and will be played around league games and scc ties.nobody tried to stop participation in it.but will always be further down the list for active pyramid clubs.
  10. Again people are going on about colts and reserves.there is no chance of these teams joining the pyramid setup.and yes caledonian colts.stirling uni will be highlighted.lets take the uni first.since they never resigned from the eos once they were accepted into the lowland league,it was just a complete over sight given that the eos were reduced to 11 clubs.sos had done exactly same to boost numbers.if any of them ever win their respective leagues, one team from each would cease to be.as the rules state no club can have two teams in the same league even by name change.they will only become a problem as to blocking a liecenced club who finishes second. colts teams even the spfl dont want colts teams playing in the pyramid.its not rangers wish it was Motherwell hearts and Aberdeen who were trying to facilitate this but the spfl clubs voted it down.the same way they have always overwhelmingly voted for rainy tuesday nights in Elgin.
  11. Very harsh sir. very harsh.its not as if he held a gun to your head.all he's guilty off is highlighting his and other people's veiws about how their clubs in their opinion have moved on.
  12. The 9th applicant was Edinburgh south for the eos.luncarty applied to the eos.
  13. Dalbettie were playing in the eos when the lowland league was formed they were one of the original 10 whom started.
  14. All relegation leagues are agreed at start of each season. east kilbride and caledonian braves would go to their league of origin sos.gretna dalbettie star as it stands would drop to eos thats where they came from.but that might change for these 4 clubs with the wos starting up.would also include Cumberland colts and bsc in that as well
  15. Does it really matter the spelling at this point you certainly know who i meant.not here to argue with anyone but what or who give's you the right again at any point to say clubs and league's should be denied their right to play at teir 6 as they have openly stated they would except new clubs into their league.can we just not be happy at least we have some movement from the west.
  16. Think you'll find there's only 2 sos clubs that have applied. Bonnyington.think the other is Newtown Stewart.plus glasgow uni not Strathclyde uni.
  17. Instead of trying to change everything before the wosfl is up and running.lets just continue to get it sorted.
  18. Why didn't any of the wrja clubs who you say are superior join the sos.to find their level quicker.
  19. And where do you think the candidates will come from? The candidates will come from within the clubs who form the new wosfl.probably for the second season of the new league setup.they will make their own choices and decisions.all clubs get to propose new idea's. rule changes if they get a secondary to back them thats what being a league is about, its the clubs who determine how their run.
  20. Its a board that will be made up from within the league members that will ultimately oversee the the wosfl.these members need to be proposed and seconded every club will have a vote.for the candidate they wish.
  21. I think you'll find there might be a rule change put forward to the pyramid league 's that any reserve teams must be 1 full league below their 1st team as this could hamper relegation and promotion.it should have been put in place at the start.the eos has Stirling uni and at one time had Spartans sitting just below the lowland league.this needs to be tightened up.
