Was the fight not at the Salutation? I’ve seen a video of a fight there, was handbags and was clearing up until 4/5 folk barged out the pub and started fighting the Ayr fans that were leaving. Don’t get me wrong the Ayr fans that were there looked like total zoomers, but the situation looked like it had been defused until they charged out and folk ran back. Idiots the lot of them.
I doubt the old guy who got bottled and was in hospital would call it “handbags.”
Tbf though getting your head burst open from a bottle probably is just “handbags” in Ayrshire.0 -

Fucking hell.
As long as the only folk involved were the nuggets themselves. Was speaking to the barman from The Spread on Market Square where it happened and he said 2 regulars who are in their 60s and 70s who weren’t even at the game got attacked by a few idiot Ayr fans. One of them got glassed and is in hospital. Worst away fans we’ve had in Dumfries.

We're either the most forgiving fans in the country or we have a huge proportion of fuckwits in our support. But applauding a bunch of relegated diddies off the park surely wouldn't be seen anywhere else?
Definitely fuckwits in our support - as in any support tbf. Fighting with Ayr fans at Market Square, apparently a fair few folk hurt. Idiots.

It's not bull, it's showing folk's priorities. As I say, winning the diddy cup will count for nothing if we go down.Going down has nothing to do with the cup final, we’ve started re-signing players for next season so I’d rather we went down with a cup final win than go down without. It would give the players a lift and motivation to come straight back up. Going down and losing a cup final would hurt. They’ll already be motivated to come back up especially if Gibson is in charge but a cup win would definitely help. Only a few weeks ago we were all so determined we were going down, now we’re in a cup final and have a chance of staying up so of course winning a “diddy cup” would count for something. It would count a lot to the players that got relegated and are staying next season.
Anyway, let’s hope we stay up AND win the “diddy cup.”

I'm just taking it as an occasion on its own away from league pressure to, hopefully, give everyone a bit of a lift if we win it. Obviously if we're relegated it would overshadow everything else but for one day I can forget about our Championship troubles for a day out supporting Queens.
Yeah this. The whole “we’re doing shit in the league so I’m no interested” is a load of bull.

Todd also “announced” as the new captain.

When you say to avoid The Worlds End down the Sands it reallyyyy makes me want to go to The Worlds End down the Sands.
You should go. The punters are quite rough and may be a bit mental and only have a couple of teeth between them but guaranteed you have a good time and a great laugh. Some folk are just snobby.

There’s a good update on the OS from Wullie Gibson. Can’t share the link.

I think we’ll win this.

Gibson to keep us up and then bring in Dobbie to help him in the summer

Absolutely. Will be doing even more jobs now than Dan Armstrong.
Don’t know about that, Dan also helped Wullie on the touch line with the reserve game on Friday night.

Will we be in our pink strip tonight?

Only at our club would something like that fail.

Why would he be making statements about when our pitch is due to be replaced?
He’s not, obviously. He’s had his contract terminated and is linked with us.

We made the play offs in the season Dobbie scored a club record of 43 goals in a season.
Sadly it was the relegation play offs so we were nowhere near a promotion spot.
Find this utterly ridiculous every time I think about it.

Junior is nowhere near a championship player. Absolutely dreadful
There’s 2, maybe 3 if I’m being kind, in the squad.

It's hard to even get angry now because it's clearly a waste of time. It's clear AJ won't be going anywhere anytime soon, sadly. Why do you want Kilmarnock to score another 2 if you don’t think AJ is going anywhere anytime soon?

Match reporter has lost the plot. A “valiant” performance apparently.

I’m sure the Chairman said that next season the manager won’t be doing both.
