Peterhead have improved since the previous visit and really hope you find the recipe to staying up. Don’t think three goals were in it today but the game just shook out that way in the end. Was a bit disjointed from Airdrie today but woodwork hit three times, penalty missed and Peterhead keeper MoM would suggest at the sharp end we were creating a little more. As always a grand place to visit.

Also think some of the comments on here are totally over the top. Loads of folk commenting on a game they weren’t at. As one of the 42 Airdrie supporters at the game last night here’s what I saw. FWIW (probably nothing). It was a bizarrely open game with a barrel load of chances at both ends. We created and created chance after chance after a poor start. The defending for their first two was lame, we lost nearly every 50/50 and were generally second to everything in that first quarter. From then on we dominated possession, won most of the 50/50 and looked constantly dangerous for the middle 60 minutes of game. Scored two good goals and unlucky on a couple of other occasions. The difference was made by their substitutes who really changed the flow of play. Odd how our defence has become so porous. Keeper is young and is just learning what’s needed in the league but hardly his fault our first choice keeper has yet to play a league game. Shit result but for the most part played really well. Defence needs sorting out before anything else. The rest is working okay.

A few seasons in this league and that is your future too. It’s a graveyard for the once pretenders.

Of course Tynecastle that night, Jackie McNamara always getting sent off against us but worse for me was the 0-0 at EEP when dirty Pars were reduced to 10 men early on then took all the ballboys away and booted the ball into touch for an hour. We hate them. They used to hate us. It’s all gone a bit indifferent and beige. Channel last game at old Broomfield, Stevie Cooper at Broadwood or Martin Hardie at EEP. Get it up em! Ohh and better if we try and improve on converting 1/10 in ten shots at goal.

Their were some optimistic fools amongst the tiny little pathetic group of racist people who support the team that stole Clydebanks rightful place in Scottish shit footballdom that thought when the playoff final arrived we had a 50/50 chance of winning it. Too early to say. Peterhead on Saturday was more positive than negative. Peterhead supporters were as down beat about their team as you could be. No one in this league is picking the cream of the crop as far as players. Generally hoping your worst players are better than your competitors worst ones. Players are all different. Easton is replaceable but not directly as no two players are the same. Used to think I’d love to swap out some of our team for what you had. Last season for first time I wouldn’t have. We’ll probably both have a small idea how we stand after Saturday but even then probably won’t.

Just my annual check in to the old P&B to see when Falkirk are going to win Scottish Division 1 this season! “We shouldn’t be in this league”! is the sentiment. You are too big for this league, too politically perfect and too adept at blaming countless despatched managers. Good luck on Saturday but like us you’ll need it! Incoming!!!

Very much agree with Chapelhall. Think the danger to us lies maybe on two counts. If teams press us high up the park which Peterhead did in the second half we rush forward passes and lose possession of the ball quick. Also we commit so many players beyond the ball that if we lose it we are faced with plenty of one on one defending counters which gives me the fear. Peterhead I’m sure will improve but need to strengthen to be near as good they were laterally last season. But overall good performance and a grand day out at a proper football ground.

Who knows what’s going to happen tomorrow. Really is a trip into the unknown for us and I imagine Peterhead. We played really well for 45 last weekend but finishing was awful. Anyway on a selfish note good for us NE diamonds to have easy gigs to attend. Love Balmoor, friendly locals, good ground and excellent fish n chippin options on way home.

Enjoy your success QP you really did deserve it over the two legs no arguments with the result. Bringing 300-400 supporters to a play off final is fine, but doesn’t suggest you’ve got an amazing basis but because you’ve got substantial financial backing its fine, in the short term. Please be careful in the long term. It’s got that Gretna whiff. Enjoy the ride tho!

Watching the Arbroath v ICT game there had better not be refereeing shitfuckerry for either us or QP like that on Sunday.

The only downside of maybe going up is that I rather like trips to Montrose, Peterhead, Methil etc. Going to Crappielow, Fudless park, Scumerset, Dreary Dens… hardly gets the cultural juices flowing. At least Cove and Arbroath have something of the sea air to offer! Anyway work to do before all that can be a reality. Love the Ayr Utd loons talking down to us already. They really are a magnificent footballing team! Actually forgot about their deluded followers.

This game gives me the fear. "Airdrie to win with something to spare" this rarely manifests itself! Surely the Bairns can't continually serving up dog muck performances. Will take any type of win at all and keep hoping the Cove steamroller runs out of water to boil. Think any losses from us at this stage will end any slim chance of catching them.

Not watching tonight’s game but from us playing them on Saturday Peterhead played like a team well up the league made us look very, very ordinary. You can’t possibly be contemplating canning yet another manager already though!! Was frequently jealous of the quality of player you guys had over the years, even recently. But now. Not. You’ll probably scrape the playoffs but am assuming Cove will be the only ones going up this season.
