  1. I saw Stone Foundation at Beat Generator in Dundee last night.

I'll admit that I'd never heard of them before I saw the gig advertised but I went along just for the hell of it. Not many bands come to Dundee after all.

They were excellent, proper funky acid jazz type stuff. Much better than I expected.

  2. Cinema Paradiso

Subtitled Italian flick about a mischievous Sicilian youngster who forges a friendship with the local cinema protectionist

This is one of the greatest films ever made. It could bring a tear to a glass eye. I've watched it about a dozen times and it never fails to leave me a sobbing mess at the end.

    10/10

Away on Holiday to Berlin so going to Just Mustard gig (watched them recently in Glasgow and they was amazing live). Away to watch the Cure/the twilight sad and also Nils Frahm in Leipzig.

Travelling to US watching the dons in Atlanta and bought tickets for Soccer Mommy. I'm hoping to get a ticket for LCD Soundsystem in New York.

I'm going to Berlin the week after next.

I've got a ticket for The Cure at the Mercedes Benz Arena.

I've been keeping an eye out for any other gigs but nothing is really jumping out at me. I was hoping for some reggae or cumbia at YAAM but there's eff all on that week.

This is definitely going to happen. I trust in the ACC completely.

I always get the fear whenever a local council mentions " public art".

You know that they're just going to clutter the streets with a load of tacky shite.

Very similar to me, think I'll try and listen to some Echobelly, Mansun and Throwing Muses to see if they are as good as I recall. I won't bother with Menswe@r as that will 100% be terrible.

Pulp have definitely stood the test of time, hmm maybe a Suede revisit as well.

Throwing Muses blew hot and cold. I revisited them a couple of months ago. The Real Ramona is a great album, Hunkpapa not as much.

I don't really listen to most of the bands I liked when I was a teenager anymore.  I was a big Oasis and Stone Roses fan, I honestly don't think I've say down and listened to an album by either in the last 20 years or more.

I was just away to post something similar.

I was well into Britpop and indie stuff back in the 90s. I dressed accordingly with mop top hair etc.

I've since realised that the vast majority of that stuff was utter shite.

Nothing a quick google search couldn’t work out. Beyond your capabilities clearly.

Or you could just say it in English as well like a normal person would and save everyone the hassle.

Paid £15 for a pint in Copenhagen 5 years ago, the most I've ever paid for a pint. Went at the Easter school  holiday and spent £750 in 3 days, had been in Gdansk at the October holiday before that, spent £250 over the same amount of time.

Heading back to Gdansk in a fortnight, Mrs. cT's October break, will post photos of very cheap beer when we're there.

I paid a tenner for a pint in some really tacky Scottish themed pub in Oslo about ten years ago.

Gdansk is a cool city. My favourite bar there was called Josef K. I'm not sure if it's still there.
