Are Saints kicking out anybody in May that might be in Ayr’s price bracket ...? -

Think Clyde have games away to Peterhead tonight and then East Fife away on Thursday . Tough schedule. Surely we have the bhp for the job on Saturday , no matter who we field .? -

It’s that time of year guys , player who are out of contract in May are looking at their next deal ,nothing new . Luke McCowan will have some upward moves to consider , Walsh will have Championship moves to consider . Cameron and Anderson the same incidentally . No doubt Hoppy will be making moves all over the place . -

Pretty much agree with the above , but I’d say a second , central midfield presence would be helpful . A dream summer signing bag would be : Doohan , Ndaba , Sibald and Drinan ..... However reality tells me a bit of a down grade on those four is more lightly but you know what I mean .. -

Cameron and Anderson might just have been a good partnership in a solid 4-4-2 . We’ll never know no I suppose . Sure to be some changes in our front half next season . Most of our defence is contracted but the wingers and forwards aren’t . Judging by what everyone is saying in post match interviews . Fitness and high tempo are going to be needed to play in a Hoppyball side . -

This has been a recurring theme for a number of season . We have always been good with the ball and shit with out it . In the medium to longer term we are going to need far more energy in the midfield . Probably a job for the summer . The system we use with three players behind the striker will have to change as well ... -

So a week and a bit to prepare for the now very important Dundee game . The Clyde game should be very winnable , it should be used as no more than a practice game in preparation for the Dundee fixture . I’m guessing some of the walking wounded won’t be risked for the cup game in an effort to have a first eleven fit for Dundee . Be interesting to see if we can get any bodies in on loan before the window closes on Wednesday ! -

Just six league games to go : Alloa A Dundee H Pars H Arbroath A QoS H Inverness A Five maybe six points should do it . Today would be a massive step in the right direction should we win . Really don’t want this going to the wire . Looking for something at Inverness would not be ideal . -

St Johnstone are better than us but as a club town etc etc ,very much the same size . Only further down the road in terms of development . Emulating them should be our goal now that we have a forward looking owner . -

St Johnstone just won the league cup . It can be done . Maybe not at the moment but never say never . -

I agree , the cup is an important revenue stream , even by fielding our bench in the starting eleven we surely have enough for a team like Elgin , who have in the house for weeks . I’d guess McKenzie will be allowed a rest , perhaps Smith and Murdoch as well . -

McGavin is a strange one he’s played in L1 in England this season but still not kicked a ball for us . I expect a few will get a chance at Elgin on Tuesday , if he doesn’t get a shot there , I’d say it was curtains . -
Will Wright be fit for Raith or even Elgin ? Expect if fit Wright , Zanatta , Walsh and Moffat will be starters at Elgin . Which would probably mean for Raith we may go unchanged . Barring the Murdoch , Miller , Chalmers conundrum .

Firstly he ain’t Lawrence Shankland , the yard stick Ayr fans tend to use to appraise any striker . He’s a bit more of a Jordon White with extras . Proper English style centre forward , 6ft 3 in , decent pace for a lump , good left peg and will bully centre half . -

Don’t even know if he’s out of contract or not , but Hoppy is an admirer . Maybe Walsh will stay so who knows . Most of Hoppy’s signings will be for the top half of the team . So there will be plenty of interesting incomers ........
