A good Ladeside man and would be a great addition, but probably just out of our reach.
Most of his CV is lower league, but your correct he’d be at the top end of our budget and I expect our priority is a centre forward . Can Robbo confirm if the triallist from the Thistle game is still around ?

Reliable, a leader, and a classy professional both on and off the park are words I'd used to describe Stevie Bell.
I hope it's just a rumour but of course, like the rest of us, he's not getting any younger, but if true can only wish him all the best as he's been a great servant to our club since he's been here.
100% This .
I can only imagine he’s been made an offer elsewhere that maybe involves coaching . It’s the next logical step for him . I wish all the best if it’s true .
This might give the youngster who came on against Thistle and went well (was it Baird or Miller ?) a better opertunity to get some minutes . Obviously Baird and Aero are first choice with Roscoe covering the left , option maybe there for cover on the right .
Heard Josh Mullin’s name mentioned on here yesterday . Now that would be a good signing . Anybody heard anything on that possibility?...

Aberdeen winger Ethan Ross signed on loan for Raith Rovers today, hmmm would have taken him cause we really don't have any cover for Walsh, Zanatta or McCowan.
Might not need cover , as we may well go 4-4-2 in some games ....

How local is local ? Certainly no trialist training who is local to Ayrshire
As local as you can possibly get .

Seems to be a lot of rumours Chris Kane is leaving us, and we're then signing a new striker, so guess there's a chance he's the striker you're after, and one club is waiting on the other before everything is signed off?
Sounds like he may well be east coast based being born in Edinburgh, however he wouldn’t be the first to make that long journey the God’s country . Maybe the Saints fans can tell us wither he is a centre forward or more a 10 .?
There are some noises being made of a more local based forward coming in . More of a number ten though . Maybe we can get both , maybe it’s one or the other !

The impact on away fans for PPV is an interesting one , due to our location we never really got huge away supports coming down to Somerset , Thistle apart . So there is a prospect of 6,000 Hearts fans tuning in . Even clubs with our size of supports , Inverness , Raith , Morton, QoS could perhaps get close to 1,000 PPV as the season hot’s up . Dundee , Dunfermline more so .
Obviously with match day sales of hospitality , merchandise etc there still might be a gap but maybe not as much as first feared . Even for an old far like me , that was pretty easy yesterday for the Thistle game and for a tenner it’s a no brainier . I’ll probably be virtually attending every away game this season if the service is available. Something about sitting on a winter’s afternoon with a pint and the heating on full bung watching the boys slogging it out at Alloa or Arbroath that really appeals to me . Doubt I’ll be the only one .

Really excited for Reading, genuinely think just now he looks as good as Harvie and this is us just at the start of having Reading for two seasons
To be fair he is keeping Arron Hickey out the U21’s team . At the moment .

He looked okay when our full strength side was on the pitch, couple of nice touches and decent run and cut inside for his chance.
Struggled more when we made all our subs which was always going to happen.
Agree with the above , the lad has some football in him for sure , he’s built like a brick shit house , he needs to own that and find the aggression required up here . He would benefit from a Dobbie style old head to talk him through it a bit . Maybe Moff would be able to help him ,but Moff doesn’t really bang them in anymore ! So either we need to find a decent no 10 or Walsh and co need to up it a bit .
Very early doors though , we have four games in the Betfred to polish it up a bit ... They need time , this is a major rebuild , the club has done superbly well to put this team together . Just a tweek required and another 10% from everybody .

Only arrived late last night , need to see what he’s like after done training and meeting the player
Looked about 6ft 2in and pretty mobile with some good touches . But it’ll take him some time to understand how we play . It’s pretty hard going up to alone .
I was impressed with Reading , proper hard wee left full back . The polar opposite of big Danny Harvie who was more a rampaging wing back. Also Baird seemed to go well and seemed to have big Graham in his pocket , hence Graham moved over to our left for his goal . The midfield three were average . As was the anchors . Lots to do , surely got enough for Albion Rovers though !

Only 7 days to go until the Rovers game , with Kerr saying one of the two strikers would be in, in time for the Betfred Cup , did he mean this game in particular ? If so at least a few days training with the squad would be a good idea if possible . If all those stars align then that surely puts us in imminent territory ?
On a separate note Aberdeen’s Sam Cosgrove is approaching full fitness and should be about ready after the internationals .

Paton will probably sign and he’ll cover Walsh’s position primarily , in turn this allows Walsh to cover both DZ and LMcC . Of the two strikers one has to be a Drinan sized centre forward . The other is more puzzling . Kerr said a second striker will allow us the option to play two up front , So he could be a no 10 or more lightly a CF to cover the first striker and occasionally partner him . Kerr likes multi tasking .

FT: 3-2 Falkirk. Striker and Attacking Midfielder/Winger to be signed this week please MK
Striker is priority, a good lump that can chip in with 12 plus goals a season and an ability to hold up and get the three ballers involved would see us all set .

Presume they're not just minor niggles as that's a week since they weren't in the team for the Stirling game and AP never said they were minor niggles which didn't do much comforting.
Houston being injured is more of an issue than Moore IMO, Muirhead at RB gives me the fear.
My main concern is if Murdy was playing then Miller could slot in at right back with Houston out . Hopefully Murdy is just being eased in slowly and he’s not struggling . The other issue is obviously up front, however I’d rather persist with McKenzie than get some jobber in . I doubt Kerr is looking for a jobber though . Seems to have a contact at Villa so .......

The club are in a really difficult position with regards PPV for league games and how much to charge. Adult Season Ticket is £230 for 13 home league games which works out at £17.70 per game so they can’t really charge any less than that for PPV or season ticket holders may feel a bit annoyed.
ETA: I suppose the club could maybe give Season ticket holders the league cup and Scottish cup games free but not sure how many of them there will be.£15 for the Accies game ? I’m up for that . Pardon my age but how does all this work? Do you watch the game on your phone or tablet or can you hook it up to a smart tv . Genuinely lost with all this tech stuff .
On the pricing , like the Morton boy said , if your looking for value for money watching Scottish football your at the wrong door . If you want a club for your kids and grand kids to follow that doesn’t involve battles in Ireland some 300 years ago then get your hand in your pocket and stop whining . Of course if you can afford to .

That's 5 players in that squad who've been involved with us the last couple of years.
Not bad for plucky wee Ayr UnitedLet’s make it six , get McLennan down the road , run of 30 games with us would do both of us the world of good ...

Also heard Coventry are back in for LS ... Not surprised in the slightest .

Coventry are higher up the league than Forrest and they got Rose for a fraction of that
With McKenna going for £3 million plus add ons . Coventry can expect similar bids in the Christmas window for Rosey !

Could be wrong but if Drinan is anything to go by it’s a centre forward we are looking for . If McCall hadn’t pounced on Graham and Rudden for Thistle then one of those might have been in our sights . If it’s a Premier player we’re after ,he’s going to be fourth or fifth choice . Anderson of Aberdeen isn’t such a bad shout but can he lead the line Drinan style .? Don’t know much about him to be fair .

I have no idea who it will be but it is really a crucial position and they need to be guaranteed to be a success so preferably it will be someone from the Scottish Premiership. Down south is an option but for every Jordan Preston and Aaron Drinan there is a Jamie Thomas.
Pretty much agree with the above, this is the final piece of the jigsaw for us, it’s the hardest position on the park , so we have to get a good one .

The club needs to sell all the season tickets it can .
