Bit like Ross McGiver? Or Cameron and Houston at Ayr? Or Kennedy at ICT?
Still could be worse, we could have had Gary Oliver on the bench
Robinson 5 career appearances
Innes Cameron 40 appearances, Houston and Maciver over 30
Fair point about Kennedy

No, not particularly, but you're missing the point. You didnt say other teams had better subs (they may well do, clearly clubs like Hearts, Dunfermline and Dundee in particular have far deeper squads). What was said was that other clubs had players on the bench who were capable of improving the first eleven and we didnt. Which is complete nonsense unless you are suggesting all the other managers are deliberately starting with better players on the bench than they have on the pitch.
In any event, Dan Pybus has been a regular starter for over a year who was on the bench as he was coming back from a hamstring strain. We were missing our regular left back through suspension too which weakened the squad. And Kieran McKechnie is injured though he would have been dismissed too as unproven no doubt. Which is true, but its also true of several of the players you have chosen to list above as 'game changers'. Calvin McGrory was probably our best player when he came on.
But you're entitled to think our subs are rubbish if you like, thats fine. My issue was the suggestion that having players on the bench not as good as those on the pitch was somehow 'strange'.
I'd like to see a source for that Andy Stirling assist stat too? 9 in the league? Really? There's a reason why he went to Alloa and couldnt get a game there before dropping a division. He has some talent for sure but there's rarely an end product. He got fouled for at least one penalty Dobbie scored right enough. Does that count as an assist?
Andy Stirling assists - sources BBC / Wyscout and Transfermarket
7 league, 2 cup(s)
14.7 Stranraer, 1.9 Ayr (penalty win), 8.9 Crusaders, 22.9 Partick, 6.10 Alloa, 29.10 Falkirk, 17.11 ICT, 29.12 Ayr, 26.1 Partick
I would suggest that McGowan, Naismith and O’Hara for example would improve their teams but given the opposition shape / personal and potentially surfaces etc they aren’t always included in the starting 11.

Robinson still relatively unproven, hopefully Queens can find a solution soon to get up and running

In depth
Agreed that probably shouldn't have worded it like that in this thread, the focus is on 3 games each week in each division and this was not one of them - was just touched on. Apologies, if you look at last weeks episode / week before we go into depth about Cowden and their squad depth etc and generally praise them most episodes! Apologies again

I don't understand the general puzzlement on the panel that our subs bench isn't capable of improving the first eleven! Isn't it generally the case for every club that the bench players are not seen as better than the first eleven? Er, that's why they are on the bench! If they were better they'd be in the starting eleven.
And whoever it is that thinks Dobbie's goals in any way, shape or form relied on the service of Andy Stirling clearly has never watched us at all! Dykes yes, absolutely massive factor in Dobbie's dropped productivity. As is the fact, he'll be 38 in a month.
And no matter how often people keep repeating it, Partick Thistle were not a point behind us with a game in hand when Covid shut us down. They were two points behind and only a win in Inverness would have got them ahead.
Would you not agree that across the league on Saturday most teams had subs who were on par with the players starting and would be viable options to come in without weakening the team? The point trying to be made was that QoS don't have luxury of making changes without weakening the team.
Alloa - Graham / Buchanan / Scougall / Malcolm
Ayr - Cameron / Houston
ICT - Kennedy
Dunfermline - Turner / O'Hara / McCann
Raith - Spencer
Dundee - McGowan / Robertson / Elliott
Hearts - Irving / Haring / Wighton / Naismith
Arborath - Linn / Donnelly / Gold / Whatley
Morton - Nesbitt / Oliver / Maciver
Andy Stirling - 9 assists in 2018/19, would suggest that some were for Dobbie?
Apologies for the mistake regarding the points difference, should know better than that.

Dunfermline v Queens
in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Posted
Cameron standing out and with a goal every 3 games in league below shown he deserves the chance. Differing opinions but that’s what it’s all about. All the best to Queens at the weekend
