Strong second half performance all things considered. The tactical tweak to put Sakala and Wright wider really worked. They were getting to much space on the wings in the first half after the red card.
Sakala for all his faults had a great game. Big involvement in all of the goals.

Finalists get 10k tickets of which 4k of them are free of charge and those 4k have to go to regular fans i.e. not corporate. So basically all Gold MyGers members will get a free ticket and so will maybe the top 8% of Silvers.
No idea how the rest of the 6k would be allocated so I'd imagine quite a few go to corporate and players families etc. I have a feeling most silvers would miss out.

I didn't realise that they took Labour Day off entirely. Do you know why they do that?
That gives us a bit of an advantage for the home leg then and it's not like they can really rest loads of players with CL qualification to play for.
All about making sure it's not tie over after our visit to Saxony though.

Playing Monday-Thursday is really weird. Especially with the travel involved for them. Maybe the Bundesliga will let that be moved to the Sunday.
Their form is pretty sensational going back a good few months. Destroyed Dortmund in Dortmund a month back or so as well.
That along with their strong recent European experience (CL semi final not that long ago) means they are definitely our toughest test in Europe so far on this run.
One plus point is that they have two significant defensive suspensions. But we are missing Morelos who has vital in Dortmund so perhaps it all cancels out.

Halfway through a season is ridiculous. Just implement it the season after if you can't have it done in time for the start of 22/23.

I'd be really surprised if Halkett makes it, but if Smith and Souttar are back then we might just about have a chance. If Sibbick or Moore start the game then we're in trouble.
To be fair in that game it could have gone either way until about the hour mark and you tailed off. Before that it was a relatively even game.
Have you heard any transfer news for the coming summer yet? Could be an interesting one now European group football is guaranteed....

Then Rangers dropped off after the break but its harsh to put that on the manager given it happened under Gerrard. GVB's points per game is slightly better than Gerrard's. 2.35 to 2.31. He has made a lot of mistakes though as he adjusts to managing in this league and finding his best team. We also looked like we were going backwards in the OF games compared to what the situation was under Gerrard where every game was at least a contest. Yesterday shows that perhaps he's learning tactically.
I blame the board for the post break turnaround more than Gio. It was a poor window and we did everything far too late into the window as well.
