  1. We're not the ones sacking a manager who had consistently delivered it and continued to do so. Don't worry though, I'm sure Stephen Glass's 18 months at Atlanta 2 have prepared him well to succeed the third best manager in the history of the club.
  2. Well getting rid of McInnes really made a difference. And even after another defeat still five points clear of fifth with five games to play. Coming off the worst run for a long time. Testament to what a stunning job he continued to do there. Hope you didn't get too used to all this success.
  3. I don't think it is honest. I think its patronising and if anything dishonest. He says that just cause you don't manage to make it into the 18 one week it doesn't mean you're out of the picture, you could start the next game. Aye right, does anyone really believe Gilmour is going to go from not even getting onto the bench to starting out of nowhere? He may start a cup game but that's it until the end of the season if they have a couple of dead rubbers. So if anything its dishonest. We all know they have excellent midfielders in front of him, he would have been better not commenting at all as the only thing he can say is patronising and he shouldn't be telling another manager to pick a player he isn't picking himself.
  4. Think that's a fair article, he clearly thinks Gilmour is a good player but has 3 ahead of him. His job is to Chelsea, and if Gilmour made his decision knowing this then so be it. Stevie Clarke makes his own decisions but not sure that article is negative in anyway He states in the article it wasn't Gilmour's decision it was his. Gilmour had no choice. Of course his concern is Chelsea, but he's also done a kid out of his chance of playing at a major tournament so he can sit in the stands incase someone gets injured. Now he regularly features two LB's on the bench instead of Gilmour, and brought them both on ahead of him the other night. If Gilmour was allowed to go out on loan he probably gets in the squad for the Euros. Tuchel's concern isn't Scotland or Gilmour but he clearly feels guilty that he's taken that away from Gilmour, and he should keep his nose out of other people's business instead of commenting on Scotland. Its also very partronising him saying he's ready to compete when his own selections show he thinks he isn't. Its like a burd that dumped you saying what a great guy you are.
  5. It's almost like he's employed by Chelsea and not the SFA... Of course he is, so he should keep his mouth shut about the Scotland team then shouldn't he?
  6. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/mar/19/scotland-should-pick-billy-gilmour-chelsea-says-thomas-tuchel What an arrogant c**t. He says Scotland 'should not be worried about Gilmour's ability to compete' well he clearly fuckin is. Arsehole of a man. I think a bit of guilt showing here too that he's done a kid out of his chance to play at a major tournament, and there's no guarantee he'll get another one.
  7. David Moyes is the ideal Scotland manager, but hopefully not for a good while yet.
  8. Thought he was pretty good again. Very difficult game for him and his team, and again he grew into it and got better and better as it went on. Exerting more influence and taking more responsibility as the game wore on. No doubt he's destined for the top, but nowhere near ready yet.
  9. Not for the Euros, but the likes of the Faroes and maybe Israel I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.
  10. Big game for Patterson tonight. The guy he's up against Sima is good so a big test. Interested to see how he gets on. From the little I've seen there's no doubt he's the real deal and the answer to our problems at RB, but he isn't ready yet and a night like this will be a big test for him.
  11. Against the likes of the Faroes we should obviously be changing the system and altering the personnel slightly. Its a completely different type of game where they will sit and we need to open them up.
  12. Where are you seeing this? I showed you the link. 21 Centre 19 Defensive 8 Attacking For a guy who 'has to be played as near to the opposition box as possible' he's scored 4 goals in the last two seasons. I think that says it all.
  13. I'm not sure what this means. Look at it, he's played attacking midfield 8 times in his last 50 games. They're on TV every second week, I watch them all the time. He's a midfield powerhouse now who is very good at doing the dirty work and the hard yards. He never scores. He's perfect for one of our two deeper roles protecting the defence. Him and McSauce are an oustanding pairing, and a huge upgrade on Jack and McGregor/MacLean.
  14. I'm not sure what you're seeing. Look on the left-hand side of the page 21 Centre 19 Defensive 8 Attacking
  15. He was excellent against Slavia in the first leg. Couple of mistakes early but got better and better as the game went on. That's why Steven Gerrard said after the game he 'became a man tonight'. He was quality. Not ready for Scotland yet though after ten games.
  16. https://www.footballcritic.com/john-mcginn/player-positions/34134 McGinn has played attacking midfield 8 times in his last 50 club games. People think he is all of a sudden Zidane cause he sclaffed in a couple against the Faroes. He's actually not particularly good around the opposition box.
  17. Nope. Completely untrue. I'm not sure he's played 8 at all all season. Always been one of the deep midfielders. You haven't watched them have you?
  18. Except for his actual manager obviously, who's been playing him there all season.
  19. Maybe that's it. I can't see the SFA spending fifty grand to fly a squad player over. Not even joking, that could be the reason, as I struggle to see why you would leave him out if it was just a footballing decision.
  20. Airplane? Are there flights from Portugal just now?
  21. Seems a bit reckless to name him, if he will have at most part of one game under his belt. Shift McGinn back and call up Gauld you know it makes sense. More likely Turnbull though with logistics, how would Gauld even get here?
  22. I think its clearly a mistake not calling him up. I also think, having watched him a lot this season, McGinn is a vast improvement on McGregor or Jack for one of the holding roles. So ideally he would play there, freeing up another place in the squad for someone like Gauld.
  23. The one with the bigger thighs is obviously the best bet.
  24. Rangers have over thirty players out on loan right now. So it clearly is possible.
