not a good look on the company involved though thats for sure.
i take it if you got the ticket email confirmation despite the error, those seats are still yours and dont have to do it again?

a bit longer than 5 mins here but got the email eventually

things might change next week but id doubt it. the prem clubs have bigger stadiums which can be used in full but at EEP, the Cowden end is still out of use with the away team using the concourse as a dressing room. only other option is opening the rest of the north stand but that would only allow another 250/300 in, as it stands every season ticket holder could get in without that so the club might just leave it as is.

the rumour of signing another winger/wide player i cant really see but it to be Hammill, even less so.

when i see this Dorrans link i cant get Dean Shiels out of my head, hopefully works out better than that did if he does sign.

some random foreign player, sadly unlikely with the Brexit rules
if they did find one they would have pretty much all options covered in the middle but does Grant want anyone like that? he didnt have one at Alloa although that might have been through circumstances rather than choice, he also might really fancy Thomas playing in there and that would make up 5 options albeit a bit lightweight.

you missed out Graham and Watson at centre half...and Murray is not our player any more....
going by whats in the Dunfermline Press, Grant said before Cole signed three more, maybe four so it could be one more signing now and thats us done, presumably Breen going by the rumours.
i expect Todd and Fenton to go out on loan, neither would need replaced in the squad

looks like Kennedy incoming....

If we have our own training facilities and youth set-up, then that would be absolutely fantastic in the long run. We spent all that time in the noughties spunking cash we never even had on useless duds and pretty much disregarded local talent. We weren't the only club doing it mind you.
Maybe we were waiting on this going through before making proper headways in the signings department?
not sure what proper headways is, more and/or better signings? i highly doubt it going by the comments last summer about no big spending, no open cheque books etc.
this has gone through now to get the training ground going, going to guess they have been surprised at how quickly they have secured the site which is why as it says in the report the board requested the takeover to be brought forward ie need the cash now to make sure they get it.

pleased the takeover has gone through now, looking forward to seeing what the plans for the future are.

Pleased with that considering 920 were sold for the Dumbarton game on the morning of the game.the club tweeted they had less than 80 tickets left on the Friday afternoon, the 920 was sold by then not on the morning of the game.

I think we’d have to be very clinical this season to be successful with that system. It’s too easy to reach our box and better teams will take advantage.
I’d hope that Wilson or another defensive minded midfielder would help with that obviously but I can’t see us keeping many clean sheets. We do seem to have a very exciting front line so it should be interesting.
if you want a more attacking system and style compared to the last couple of seasons then you will concede more chances and goals as a result.
im not sure another midfielder will come in now to be honesT, i could see them going with what they have now unless someone far too good to turn down pops up, some random internationalist or something. Breen and Kennedy positionally make sense, after that is anyones guess.

thats Brexit for you, the English clubs have to fill their under 23 teams somehow.
Dow and Wilson being out for the league game is not a surprise and does not change anything in terms of midfield signings.
i cant say i have ever been totally sold on Smith in the past, there will be a few teams after him for sure though.

Luckily there wasn’t a large queue at turnstile (10-12 folk) but still took 10 mins to get through due to scanning issues. I just zoomed in on the QR code and it worked second time of asking but I know most older people I know would have really struggled.
It doesn’t help that the screen says proceed even when the turnstile is still locked in place. Hopefully this is a very short term measure.
it doesn't help either when the stewards both outside and inside the gate were saying to scan the bar code not the QR code

looks like a few folk were quick off the mark, got mine no problem.
next on the club to do list, a how to use the scanners, were quite a few folk having hassle with them on Saturday.

who do you think we should be signing?
3 minutes ago, parsforlife said:Isn’t that martins role? We need him fit of course, but hopefully he’ll be ready within the next few weeks if he doesn’t get another set back.
Otherwise MacDonald is seemingly capable on both sides, you can play him on the left and comrie on the right.
they could do it but neither are naturally left footed though. im not considering Martin as an option right now, could be quite a while before he is at the level required to play.

i could see another defender coming in but maybe someone who could double up as a left wing back and centre half to cover both, if Edwards gets injured you either lose the balance of the side or have to switch systems. would expect Breen will be competition with Graham on the left side of the 3.

“I am a great believer in having a small but quality squad, if I can do that and I will be delighted if I have twenty outfield players who are more than capable of playing in the first team. I like that camaraderie between the group, they have to fight for each other. As I have said many times the most competitive place for us should be the training pitch. We want them playing against quality every day"
20 outfield players is more than enough i would say.

The injury’s don’t help and if those players were fit I don’t think fans would be as worried.
what quality of player is he looking at too is it from down south or spl, other teams seems to be making it look easy to bring players in. It’s went from definitely bringing players in to hopefully bringing players in that’s a massive step down in my eyes and dosent fill me with confidence.
Killie are the only team in the division that have made it look easy with every one else in the same boat. the idea quality over quantity, every manager says it cause they have to ,they cant say im signing a load of garbage but its all we can afford lol
it has always been hopefully apart from last week when Grant said definitely one in before StMirren (which wasnt Currid no) but things obviously changed, maybe he should just say no comment on any transfer question from now on. signings will be made before the window closes at the end of August.

Latest out of contract players to start following Pars on twitter recently
Nortei Nortey & Rhys Breen. Both at QOS last year, so maybe just following due to Dan Pypus signing.
Breen is still at Rangers?

he said he wanted balance and ideally a left sided centre half, Gaspuitis isnt and Graham is, same as Rice and Omar who were on trial so i dont see a problem on that one. if anything its why Comrie over Gaspuitis on the right, guessing to have that little bit of extra pace? other one he might not fancy Gaspuitis at all.
MacDonald at wing back is fair enough, id prefer him there than in the back 3 at the moment.
if we are playing 3 at the back every week,, Thomas might only get in the side in the middle of midfield got himself, potentially Kennedy, Dow, Wighton, Ohara, Todorov, McCann, cant play them all.

You don't think we have money to buy new midfielders?
buy? as in pay a fee? highly unlikely. i doubt whichever midfielder comes in will meet the standards of p&b too.

uh huh but you dont just sign any player simply to have more players. look at the reaction to Pybus.
