maybe he should say nothing?
he did say definitely for the first time but things can change in a few days, deals can collapse or be delayed for whatever reason, it happens.

We've had a settled squad early doors before (19/20) and had a horrendous start to the league season. We've also been in a position when we've been lacking in numbers (17/18) and had a cracking start.
Transfer window still has 53 days to run. Relax.the reaction and simple lack of thinking or understanding of the situation is hardly a surprise.

We don't have to sign Scottish Championship players only. If we got Iain Vigurs, I would've said that he could've been a star man at this level, so it's not impossible. There are other leagues out there to find players.
I thought a man of Grant's experience would have a pretty good contacts book. I'm still hopeful that we will see a couple more central midfielders come in with a decent pedigree.
they are looking at other leagues to get players, very obvious from where the trialists and players linked are coming from.
having good contacts means nothing if you cant pay what the players want or if they are not the quality needed.

We're not actually too far away from a decent starting XI if we can get everyone fit:
Mehmet
Comrie Watson Gaspuitis Martin
Thomas Wilson ? Dow
O'Hara Wighton
It's the squad depth that is concerning, as we'll obviously have injuries, suspensions and the need to set up differently for some games. Think we'll be ok in defence (we have Macdonald, Martin/Edwards and Graham as cover) and we really only need one more up front after the Todorov signing (this is where a loan could help), although I remain unconvinced by McCann (but hope he can prove me wrong and do the business).
It's really the midfield that is the issue. Pybus is a really poor signing I think. Like everyone else I hope he totally proves us wrong, but I'm not confident about that. Wilson has been injured for a while now and that has to be a concern, likewise Dow. We desperately need cover out wide anyway, and McCann isn't a winger, despite previous attempts to make him one. Allan looks like he'll be getting a shot in centre mid, so hopefully he can deliver.
Crawford's best asset was identifying players and getting them signed. I think there's talent throughout the leagues to find, and Crawford did it every season. So far it seems Grant doesn't have the same nous. Let us hope we can see more guys in next week.
Crawford had months in advance to plan for the next season, Grant had 2 weeks before preseason. i dont agree about this talent through the leagues, if there is though it needs money to get it, which only Kilmarnock in this league have thats why every other team is signing the players they have.

I know there’s space in the squad that will be taken by ‘ well he’ll do’ types. But that’s the sort of slots you’d expect to be filled late august. We need especially it center mid players that are going be star man. As yet we’ve done nothing to address that.
maybe we should have gone all out for James Vincent or Rhys McCabe. signing a capable centre midfielder at our level is a struggle, a star man is near on impossible.

just close the club now

he played 3-4-3 a few times last season, a trendsetter perhaps
i look forward to the next midfield signing to be dismissed before a ball is kicked.

put him in a better team, in possibly a different role as he talks about in his interview and see what he does.
the overreaction was totally expected, it will be the same with whoever else we sign.

excited about announcing a transfer, not necessarily the player in the transfer.
if thats what it was and they were almost winding the folk up that have been constantly moaning at them, i have no problem with that.

I’ll be furious if that’s our only announcement of the day. Ross Graham on a loan deal doesn’t warrant his own Office “oh my god, it’s happening” gif.
“How about another? ” coming up IMO.people want signings and been moaning about it a few times a day on twitter especially, thats what you get.

We'll have lots of trialists for these upcoming friendlies, so it'll be a guess who game from the pictures.
the club wont show them if they actually are at the game, have to rely on the opposition for that.
must be using the covid rules excuse for no preseason pics again too, rules that only apply to us when every other team is doing pics and videos. not good enough!

"12.5 When a Match which is postponed, drawn, or abandoned is played or replayed, only those Players who were eligible, by means of their registration, to be listed on the Official Team Line for a Club at the date fixed for originally playing the Match, are eligible to be listed on the Official Team Line for that Club for the rescheduled Match"
has this been changed given the suspension by the SFA/government and length of it? if not it will cause havoc for a few clubs on Tuesday with the amount of signings they have made and cannot use them.

and 3 of those players were excellent on Saturday. playing against a much stronger side tonight and we didnt look as good, funny that....
buy a midfield? with what, monopoly money?
people wanted a change of manager, a change of style etc etc, well it takes time to implement never mind just signings!
