Today was cold at times but dry .......sausage rolls ...bangin Kello took the lead early on ,decent finish from 25/30 yards High over the keeper from no 6 Cowan , United got a deserved equaliser From great play from Gillon who shrugged of a few tasty swipes to strike the bar and Mullen was there to head home for his 1st goal for the club. Unlucky not to come away with the points but again like the earlier game this season at Greenfield the difference was Kello Gk Ryan Dunsmore ,bigman becoming a thorn in our side . Up to sixth for Glasgow Shettleston United ,got the champions Camby next weekend ,good wins against St Cadocs and Gartcairn but probably the toughest test.....

Cumbernauld United 1 Glasgow United 0 Been a few years since a visit to Guys Meadow and again the surface is the talking point......is this pitch ever playable? Warned prior to kick off from the referee about 2/3 areas of the park that where unplayable and should be avoided if you can,what a statement........ As for the game both teams to their credit tried to play but were thwarted by a surface fit for mud wrestling..... Good to see Thomas Sinclair come on for The home side, no doubt a player with great ability ...keeps fit and he will be a great addition to Cumbernauld's squad.

Glasgow United 0 Kello Rovers 0 One of those games you think and maybe expect to turn up and win. We just never got going,the few chances we had the Kello keeper responded with some great stops and blocks. Frustrating as Kello never offered much as our keeper had a quiet afternoon. Big shout to the Kello keeper,the crowd behind him 2nd half gave him some friendly banter and after the match he went over and shook them by the hand and gave one of the young boys his gloves making his day ,also posing for photos with a few of them. A game with a missed penalty by both teams

Thorniewood United 1 Glasgow United 3 Superb performance all round from Glasgow,defensively solid and a good bit of business bringing in Craig Thomson at the back. Been at the club a while now but has been stop start for him with certain issues...but now he has cemented a place and continues to impress... Steffan Graham our number 7 is up there with the best in this league,so much so that the opposition fans wanted tae chip in and buy him,told them tae sell their houses... Not a bad result for losing your goalkeeper to a red card just before half time....red card yes but the headbutt motion directed at him before he kicked out merited the same decision..... coming strong and a few home matches now to prepare for.....

brilliant game ...2 well taken free kicks as you said,The homeside got the lift after their 1st goal,a gift by the keeper but a quick reaction to finish from a wide area...Ashfields 3rd with the cheeky back heal was good to see and the equaliser for United was deserved I thought .....ye think playing surfaces would be at their best for 1st game of the season the surface looked rutted and in need of some care....

Seen some photos from Wishaw twitter,Keigan parker was also present ,on the bench I think Goalkeeper Andrew Wilson,released by Alloa was in goal and Gordon Dick looks to have returned

Westerton United have withdrawn. Whats the story ,will they be looking to join at a later date or have they gave up on the idea

Springburn Astro in Springburn park would be my guess Is one of the facilities closed by Glasgow Life,pretty sure there will be an asset transfer to keep it open by someone. Maybe Rossvale thinking of using there.
