If folk are getting wound up by McIntyre using the word Punter, Wednesday can only really be an absolute car crash.

We spent most of the train journey to Ayr trying to convince ourselves that if the club are backing McIntyre we really just need to get on board with that and try and pull in the same direction, but it’s just not happening. I’m all for a period of stability and giving a manager time and more windows to do the job, but only if he’s the right man. The club are backing the wrong horse here.

Some of our players will take bad if they are told to do anything like a normal pre season, past couple of seasons have been absolutely farcical.

It’s pretty obvious this is the double down I wasn’t expecting. McIntyre to be given the summer and they will hopefully outline the future plans here, otherwise it’ll just be a complete waste of time.

Maybe he’ll use Goldie as a human shield. Hopefully people can take some personal responsibility and if they think they’ll act like a w****r then maybe don’t go.
