New will be developed, but sadly the evolution of this virus is not seasonal like flu, in having 3 waves in 16 months and now told a fourth inevitable. Those are short times frames by which to develop new vaccines and we may end up behind the curve just like in the first two waves. 150k deaths later! Government is not about doing their bit and moving on ffs! The most basic duty of a government is to protect its people from both internal and external forces at all levels in all aspects and that includes public health. There will be more variants but their potency is the big question and government are silent on this. An unknown at this point, but in risk analysis, unknowns are cause for the highest risk ranking. Another problem is in the decision making of government, in the pendulum continually swinging back and forth on whim in an ah but I said I would, so I'm proceeding in spite of the evidence against it, then only to change it later.
