  1. Not to mention the 4 stewards at the gate assisting with the cashless turnstiles. Nice work I suppose.
  2. Neutral view - I think the ref got the red card wrong, but watching at full speed it is a difficult one to call, so I have sympathy with him. Currie should have walked for the challenge, but maybe the referee bottled it having already sent off Paddy Martin in contentious circumstances.
  3. That disallowed is a right kick in the goolies. No wonder Naysmith was fizzing afterwards. The good news is that these things even themselves out over a season. Phew.
  4. The barriers meant those on the terrace could not get undercover. Why were the barriers not placed further over so we could get undercover as well as the Arbroath fans? Pretty simple really.
  5. It wasn’t offside. The referee blew his whistle. I have no idea why. Unrelated point, but why did Arbroath have barriers up preventing the away fans getting undercover behind the goals and then allowing the Arbroath fans to swap ends and stand under the cover we couldn’t access. Fortunately it remained dry, but could the barriers not have been in the middle of the terrace to allow us under cover? Similar treatment at Montrose. Why do these two clubs treat away fans like 2nd class citizens?
  6. It is amazing McKinnon is still in post. How have those in charge justified it?
  7. Balance of play it was an even game, but Arbroath did more with their possession. The goal was a beauty and they hit the woodwork in the first half as well. I thought we played quite well and carried a threat throughout that half, forcing numerous corners. Second half we had Arbroath penned back but just couldn't get the equaliser. In the end it took a miraculous save from Jamieson to keep us in it. It was an amazing save. No idea why the equalising goal was disallowed. But another week, another tight match. Still worried about our lack of a goalscorer.
  8. In the absence of anything else, the SPFL usually publish on youtube a highlights package from most, if not all, matches. Think it comes out on a Thursday (today!)
  9. Mildly amusing that the Alloa fan has chosen to highlight the occasion when the referee chose to adopt a degree of pragmatism, as opposed behave like an officious p***k and ask for the kick off to be retaken. While the same referee is getting criticised for being too quick on his whistle. From watching the highlights, it was never a pen, the ball looked to have crossed the line and the red cards were probably the right decisions.
  10. Also noticed that the first two subs they brought on were English and Welsh! Young guys right enough. I thought that the no 11 (who was Scottish thankfully) looked good. His 2nd goal was really smart. Anyway, expect him to pop up at York City or Dunfermline the next time you hear of him. It pains me the way they treat their young Scottish talent. And they get such an easy ride of things from the media in this country. When did they last produce through their first team a regular starter for the National team? Even the two Scottish guys who play in their first team, Souttar and Barron, didn't come through their Academy. Their B team last night didn't even have a majority of Scots in it. It's embarrassing.
