  1. Actually I love Ben.... He's a decent wee bloke. Met him in the shop at Gayfield and he was sound. Loved his piece on the Dundee derby from the shed. Totally captured the atmosphere. Hopefully see you tomorrow.
  2. Totally agree - bad "journalism" at its laziest. If that's all they can report on Arbroath this season......
  3. A really challenging match ahead. Players like Thomas, Wighton & Dow should be above Championship level.
  4. Or you could call it good game management against top of the league, away from home, mid week fixture for a part time team, etc.
  5. Never doubted him for a second......that's why he manages and we spout stuff on P&B !
  6. Don't understand the Edgar Davids reference......? Nope you've got me there.
  7. Well as the 4th round where Livi come in is scheduled for the 22nd January 2022, he wont be at Arbroath as he will be back at Livi by that point. Good point.....
  8. I fully expect Nouble to sit out this game as Livi will want him to be part of their plans for the next round when they enter. Unless we can somehow stay in the cup for longer than Livi.....can't see that happening however as Arbroath don't seem to do cups these days.
  9. Also thought Dowds worked hard but didn't get much luck, service or help off the stand side lino. I think you'd see a totally different player if he got a run of games & decent service.
  10. 100% factually correct. Dennis Gillespie, gentleman & scholar.
  11. Despite being one of the first to jump to the management's defence, I'm not sure they got it right today, both with team selection, then how they were set up. Donnelly left midfield, McKenna too deep, no Liam Henderson, Clark starting....not for me I'm afraid. Meant Nouble had to drop too deep as there was no service to him. Well done Ayr deserved a point Michael Moffat was good, sees an opportunity and then executes quickly - seemples ! What Arbroath were lacking today. Bring back Nicky.
  12. Lovely to see big Joel taking time with a fan in the enclosure in front of the stand after the match. He truly is a good man........and not a bad footballer We're lucky to have him - he's a good fit for Arbroath.
  13. Totally nailed it. This is exactly where it has to start....it's not easy - believe me !!
  14. Just got a feeling the big man will bounce back.
  15. Thanks for clearing that up. Still reads like a rant, but if I've managed to follow, you blame the manager for his tactics and the fans for not supporting. I guess I really must be simple for not being able to follow your logic.
  16. I absolutely love your post mate It's totally random, all over the place and at 11 on a Saturday night makes total sense to me....
  17. Well done Rovers inflicting Arbroath's first defeat since 31 July. That said, sitting top half after 1st quarter we've got to be pretty chuffed. Can see Rovers, Killie & ICT slogging it out.
  18. First defeat since 31 July. Sitting comfortably in top 5. +9 goal difference. All in all it's been a pretty good first quarter.
