I know you are always quite negative, but we went toe to toe with both cheeks recently and it was fine margins that lost us the games. Yes, Killie away and Hearts at home will be tough, but there's no easy games in the premiership. What I’m saying is they are winnable with this squad. I don’t expect we will win them all, of course not, but I’m not scared of getting done over by any of those teams like I used to be. Enjoy it while it lasts Elvis, because I’m sure it won’t be like this forever.

I’ll go even further than that. The way we’re playing, I think we can win every game up until the last one before the split (Celtic away)- and even then….

Thanks, missed that. Jonah is signed up until 2025. I think the following are out of contract:
Bolton, Gogic, Dunne, Strain, Bwomono, Flynn, Baccus, Greive, Olusanya, Nahmani.
Looks like there will a good bit more churn than we had last summer.
From that list, I’d offer contracts to Bolton, Gogic, Bwomono (expecting them to sign), Strain and Bacchus (hoping they sign)

If you do only bring 200 on Saturday, that’ll still be more than County, Livi or the Fakes manage. Enjoy

Thanks for posting this. I don’t mean to be negative, but giving away 2 penalties and losing a goal from a set piece isn’t great. Training game or not. These are the basic mistakes we need to cut out if we want to stay in the top 6.

Anything below the top 5, and not getting past the Quarters of either cup, should be seen as failure really, considering how shite the rest of the top flight is.
Here fishy fishy fishy

Just to be clear (and pedantic), 3rd place does not get you guaranteed group stage European football. Winning the Scottish cup gets you that. Finishing 3rd only gets you that if Celtic of Rangers win the cup (assuming they finish 1st and 2nd in the league).
I guess we’ll just have to win the cup then

Surprised Tanser was playing after having to come off with a head knock during the week, tbh.
Guess football will eventually take head injuries seriously, but ReSuLtS COmE FiRst!!! Etc.
Why the f do you constantly post on a St.Mirren page? Is it because you’re lonely up in Perth with no fans to talk to?
If I was you I’d be more worried about Levin putting out a team with no strikers.
You fake Saints have punched above your weight for years and it’s about time you went back to the seaside leagues.
Fuckity bye

That’s 3 games now where there’s not been a post match interview with the manager on the official website. Anybody know why?

That would be quite uncharacteristic. For all of our many faults, we haven’t been thumped by anyone in the league yet.
But it took the REAL (1877) Saints to do it

Wrong.
There was a TMO, foe example they ruled that the Scotland right winger had intentionally knocked-on in the first half resulting in a yellow card. The 10 minutes when Scotland were a man down was when Australia scored most of their points.
For that c**t Joubrert to give a penalty that late in the game is one of the worst pieces of officiating in any sport that I have ever seen.
Maybe I should have been more specific. The op suggested that the late penalty was a mistake by the TMO, but my point was that it wasn’t used for that (wrong) decision.
When used correctly and openly the TMO/VAR does work. We just don’t use it properly in football, so it doesn’t work like it does in other sports.0 -

Without controversy? I thought Scotland got seriously shafted one time in a World Cup semi final? Against Australia with a South African referee was it? Or vice versa. Not sure, but I seem to remember that was a huge one.
No. The match you refer to was the quarter final in 2015 and the TMO (VAR) wasn’t used.
Every week in Scotland (and England) there are controversial (and slow) VAR decisions and it needs to be much more open.
Justice needs to be done and SEEN to be done0 -

I just had a listen to the VAR audio from the Tottenham-Liverpool cock-up. What a farce.
Would love to hear the 3 and a half minutes of dialogue which produced the lines for Greive's goal against Hearts and came to the conclusion that he was offside.
A bit more transparency and maybe the officials would be forced to raise their games.
Watching the Rugby World Cup and you see how it should be done. The ref talks directly to the VAR, and it’s broadcast to everyone- same as the video- but most importantly, they speak directly, confer on the video and always confirm the decisions in plain simple language. No mistakes.
Surely we should copy a sport which has been doing this for years, without controversy. Or should we continue on our own path and make a ridiculous amount of mistakes

One of SRs first game in charge was a 4-2 defeat to Hertz in the Scottish Cup, on Wednesday night we lost 4-2 to Hibs in the League Cup - have we made any meaningful progress in the intervening 18 months?
Are you on the windup? Finished top 6 last season and currently in 2nd place. Duh

Going to Easter Road next Weds on the train for a few beers in Edinburgh. Looking at timings of trains home, could be an issue if game goes to extra penalty and penalties?
Last train to Paisley is at 12.15. Need to get train from Waverley at 10.45 to make that. Taking into account walk to the station, extra time and pens would mean no chance of making the the 10.45?
Either leave early or Saints fans fighting for taxis back to Paisley?
Any thoughts?
Aye, ScotRail should move into the 21st Century and run trains that suit our modern lifestyles. I’m not saying 24hrs, but the L ast train to Barrhead is still 11.15- same as it was in the 80’s when I was a young man and pubs shut at 11.00

A few points on the game today :
1. We were by some distance the better side.
2. Was surprised by the away support today. For an unstoppable force and best side in decades I expected better. Kilmarnock brought nearly twice as many fans.
3. The fouling from St Mirren was incessant. The moment any of our players stepped over the half way line they were cynically and brutally taken out. Surprised only 5 yellow cards for the hatchet men.
4. St Mirren celebrated like they had won the league at FT = tinpot outfit.
5. Their fans gloating as if they had beaten Barcelona instead of little old Motherwell.
Enjoy your night buddies but normal service will be resumed soon enough when Robinson buggers off and you run out of money. You have the better of us in one season in literal decades (see point 5 above).
In ONE season??
Is that THIS season, or the LAST season, where we finished above you ??Asking for a friend

Right. Enough of this nonsense. We’re in the west of Scotland.
its a roll ‘n’ sausage. End of.
Sausage is square/ lorne
if you want links you have to specify.
Sauce is a personal preference.
And in no way can you ask for a sausage rollDrops the mic

Yes, good result coming back from 2-0 down, it’ll no doubt give you a lift. But it was against a Championship side, that if you are really lucky, you’ll meet again in the playoffs. Perspective. COYS
