  1. So, Glass gets ditched if we lose next week tae ‘Well - far dis that leave Broon? Oot o interest was Russell even in the dugoot the day?
  2. Why would it be puzzling? There’s a strong suggestion that oor main target was the lad fae Rotherham, Ladapo, right up tae the last minute. Didnae transpire so we’re now having tae look for alternatives. That’s nae tae say we shouldn’t have maybe drawn the line wi Ladapo much earlier
  3. Broon is nae wye acting as the Manger’s no. 2, his role is clearly a player and captain and certainly fan it comes tae match days. Fair point aboot Apaloo, but, disnae get awah fae the fact Glass should have the support o at least one experienced member o his backroom staff whether that be as a no. 2 or DoF. Fill yir boots and tell me fit value you see coming fae Russell?
  4. I’m in no way suggesting that Glass was an ideal appointment, but, I genuinely don’t think he’s as clueless as folk mhak oot. I can see how he wants his team tae play but the times it’s clicked have been few and far between. I think ahbody can agree that the next 3 games are likely tae decide his fate. But I canna help thinking he has been badly let doon by Cormack. The model was tae be Glass as first team coach under a DoF with a Head of Recruitment- none of which were in place when Glass was appointed resulting in flawed summer recruitment. Appointing the inexperienced Gunn as DoF, Mowbury is the invisible man, leading tae a farce o a January windae - Glass has been hung oot. He’s also been let doon by nae appointing an experienced no. 2. I got pelters on here for questioning the value of Russell - apart fae a few interesting set pieces, the novelty value of which has lang passed, I dinna see fit this boy brings tae the table. Scoring goals is oor main problem, he is apparently an ‘elite’ striking coach - it’s nae working. And finally, Glass has been let doon time efter time by players poor judgement and decision making - baith defensively and going forward. This may sound like a defence o Glass, it’s nae, if we continue tae struggle in the next twa games and get bulleted fae the cup then he should probably go. But the lack o key people in the background structure and the negligence o nae supporting Glass in the January windae has deen the manager nae favours.
  5. Can ye imagine if there wis social media back in the day? - the grief the likes o Brian Grant and Brian Irvine wid get
  6. And they wonder why we loathe the Glesga media. Classic DR build up - https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-aberdeen-hatred-became-clear-25955230
  7. I think it’s safe tae say that Watkins’ fitness is being ‘managed’ - 3 games in a week for an injury prone player returning efter a lang period oot injured? I’d rather he was available on Seterday
  8. He offers nothing in terms of experience, he’s a specialist, the kind of person that gets taken on board to add a little something extra. How many of such ‘specialists’ operate as an assistant manager? How many goalkeeping coaches occupy the position? We were initially telt that Broon wid be the assistant manager, but he ends up being team captain - this in itsel is problematic. How can Broon be on the ‘inside’ as team captain, but ‘ootside’ as a no. 2 tae the manager? Nah, this is so nae richt. In my opinion, Russel is offering nothing tae the management o this club. We’ve improved oor set pieces, fair doos, but partly based on the quality of Ramsay’s delivery. But he’s had nae impact on how we can create mair chances, how we turn possession intae goals. He’s part of the problem, the hail management collective is a problem.
  9. That’s fine min, we ah feel it personally, but, at the end o the day, there’s only one personal view that matters at times like these and that is the man that maks the big decisions - Cormack.
  10. Aye, ye may be right, but I dinna think Ange is fully happy wi the Kennedy, Strachan situation. Coming intae a club with the captain also being player assistant manager is nae usual and ye canna ignore the personal relationship aspect o Broon and Lennon. I got stick for suggesting that Cormack get an experienced heid in tae help Glass and ditch that charlatan Russel. I suggested somebody like Duffy or Rice wid be a much better support tae Glass than a one trick pony like Russel. Fact is, this is a fuckin mess and nae easy answers for the ego that is Cormack
  11. Read ma posts min - hypothetically is it really that unlikely fan ye consider the dilemma o sacking Glass but stuck with Broon in place as a no. 2? Cormack has a lot tae lose by sacking Glass, he’s invested in a hail backroom restructure including Broon as assistant manager/coach
  12. Somebody asked the question fit wid happen tae Broon if Glass is sacked. Fah wid tak the job wi the no. 2 ahready in place. I jist think an option wid be that Cormack taks somebody in short term tae work wi Broon. It’s nae that ridiculous a scenario. Some fowk seem tae hiv a problem wi hypothetical kite flying, disnae mean yir advocating.
  13. Maybe, and certainly widnae be my choice, but, if Glass gets punted and with Broon almost definitely remaining, is it that unlikely a suggestion for Lennon tae be looked at as the man tae work wi Broon as his no. 2? It’s nae a normal situation like Mcinnes and Docherty, it’s why I think Cormack will persevere wi Glass.
  14. Aye, but the question being asked wis, fah wid come in and accept Broon as their no. 2? Right fae the start, this ‘project’ wis sold as a collective, a new type o management team. Sacking Glass but keeping Broon in place as a no. 2? How dis that work? I dinna get me started on that charlatan Russel. It’s a shit show
  15. Nae for one minute suggesting Lennon. I was responding tae the Broon dilemma if Glass gets the bullet. Its easy tae jist say sack Glass, that’s an opinion, fine. But the reality is clearly nae straight forward, fit get oot dis Cormack have? Broon is a key element o this failed project, but, he has a playing contract and I wid imagine a coaching contract. Lennon wid have nae issue aroon coming in wi Broon as his number 2. Keeping yir personal views aside, is it that ridiculous a concept? Or, will Cormack bullet the hail backroom? It’s a problem of Cormack’s making - this is why I think Glass will not be sacked.
  16. It’s ready made for Lennon, even in the short term. He’s available, apparently sounded oot fan Mcinnes was courted by the Govan mob, relationship wi Broon, nae compensation - no brainer
  17. Fair enough Faither, I retract my characteristically miserable, Sunday morning psychological defensive projections.
  18. Listen tae yirsel min. Ken yir place he says...grow the f**k up, that shite is embarrassing
  19. Is that fit we’re depending on tae get 3 points? I’m nae questioning that contribution. Eence you’ve learned the drills, fit next? Fit is his relationship wi the players? Div they respect him? Can he see thingS unfolding in the game that Glass has missed? How good are we at turning possession intae goals?
  20. At last, somebody seems tae get it - it’s a fuckin shambles. Alapoo was hired as an analyst. I get fit the original plan was - inexperienced manager surrounded by ‘specialists’ - Broon, the winner and motivator, Russel the striker coach. Alapoo the data analyst. Good in theory, but, we either sack the manager and the hail ‘project’ or, and my point is, fit options dis Cormack have? If ye dinna want tae ditch the hail project, mhak a change - no brainer, get an experienced no 2 tae support Glass
  21. That’s the problem, bar sacking the manager, which may be the sensible course o action, get him some help, he badly needs it
