More thinly veiled anti vaxx sentiment emoji1787.png

It’s odd why folk try to shut this topic down with “anti vax” slurs

Being sceptical of the covid vaccine does entail being sceptical of vaccines in general

I'm sure it does. What I listed above can probably account for most of it.  But a 10% variation against the average is not that unusual.

A sustained 10% variation from April to September is most definitely unusual.

The fluctuations in the number of deaths from year to year are usually as a result of increased deaths over the winter

Nothing to do with a serious backlog of cases? Missed cancer referrals, missed heart checks etc. during lockdown? And then there is the current NHS crisis - massive waiting times even for ambulances.

I assume you're having a no-evidence pop at the vaccine.

Your first paragraph has no evidence.

After large excess deaths in 2020 we should now be in a period of negative excess deaths.

The NHS backlogs were caused by the unnecessary middle class leftie lockdowns which attempted to protect the healthy and wealthy at the expense of the working class and the vulnerable.

I am merely asking why there is no mention of the vaccines as a possible cause and why no-one is investigating the possibility.

Why do you not want this investigated?

  3. Deaths in Scotland spike to almost 10% above average

    'No single factor'

Julie Ramsay, a vital events statistician at NRS, said: "In this quarter we have seen an increase of almost 10% in the number of deaths compared with the average for this time of year.

"There doesn't appear to be a single factor behind this increase.

I can think of a possible ‘single factor’……

it’s strange why they don’t want to investigate it though….

My first post on the subject was fill your stands with your own fans, we wouldn't be having this debate if you did,it's not our problem it's your's M8.
So your semantics have decided to cut our allocation to help with the problem like many other clubs i'm saying good luck with that M8.

St Mirren and their fans don’t have any problems with reducing your allocation.

We’re all totally happy with the arrangement

The only folk that have a problem with it are you are your fellow Old Firm fans

My first game (as a 5-y-0) - lifted over the turnstyle, absolutely no memories other than the score other than the goal was scored by Hugh GilSHAN. @Arch Stanton

Second in the league!  St Mirren table(s) on 1968-11-16 (fitbastats.com)

    Second top indeed!

Little wonder you can’t remember anything. Looking at the fog it’s unlikely anyone else can either!

Our best opening 7 matches in the top flight for 54 years (68/69 season).  If it had been 3 points for a win back then we'd have been on 13 points after 7 games. This season we're on 12.

The last time we won 4 of our first 7 games in the top flight was 59 years ago (63/64 season). Coincidentally, the 4th win in that run was 2-1 v Celtic at Love Street.

Season 1968/69 St Mirren were unbeaten in first 7 games and had equivalent of 13 points on a 3 points for a win basis.

The undefeated run lasted for 11 games and culminated in a 1-0 over Rangers at Love Street in front of a crowd of 42,653 which saw us top of the league with 6 wins and 5 draws (23 points in an equivalent 3 points for a win basis)

Failure to win any of our final 12 games saw us finish 11th

Folk were pissed off about the league cup farce, which was fair enough. Then we lost against Motherwell and Aberdeen, so folk were starting to turn.

Nobody can argue with the results and performances now, albeit the Perth Saints battered us a couple of weeks ago. We look a good solid outfit.

The family stand was absolutely bouncing at the end. So many young kids cheering ect and that might have been there first game.

My great nephew was there today in the family stand. His dad is a Sevco fan so there is hope that he will grow up a Saint instead. He wouldn’t have been at the game had Ceptic been given 2 stands. It was absolutely the right decision
