  1. It’s funny how folk don’t realise the damage that what *they* supported  had caused, the deaths that occurred under those policies and the deaths and poverty that continues

    Own what you supported

your virtue, their deaths, their poverty, their misery

It’s all on the western middle class left

This very thread was virtually 99.99% pro lockdown from the start
i was banned several occasions for arguing against, no-one backed me
Oaksoft took great delight in those bans. He fully supported lockdowns

Initial lockdown seriously reduced the spread of a very deadly strain of covid.

^^^ and there are those who still attempt to justify it - despite all the millions who died then, since, the millions plunged into poverty and the decades of damage to come

    Your virtue, their deaths

I have never been zero covid.

I have never supported masks. Not even temporarily.

I did briefly accept that a temporary lockdown might help. But I've never denied that. So you've got half of one point correct.

You appear to be on the sherry again. 🤣

This imbecile supported zero covid on b&w army in 2020

he didn’t just support it, he was a zealot

    now he pretends he didn’t

we both know you did @oaksoft 😂😉

  4. Young guy went past me with 1km to go at parkrun this morning

He actually said to me as he went by me “you were a tough one to catch”

I knew he’d used up all his effort to catch me and went by him in the last 200m

Patronising comments during a race aren’t a good idea

Just ran my usual sub 20

My son was down in Wales with his mum and was hoping to beat a parkrun course record but failed

Record was sub 15.30 but he “only” ran just over 16.00 (literally)

course was over 4 miles from the hotel, he got lost on the way, police incident on the course, heatwave, etc, badly marshalled course, had to decide what route to take, etc.

  5. The thousands of non Covid excess deaths currently occurring is now beginning to reach the msm

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-10994179/Lockdowns-killing-1-000-people-week-Excess-deaths-England-Wales.html

But, despite the lengthy article, it fails to even mention the huge elephant in the room….

Aside from all the people it’s killing, one of the great tragedies of the covid vaccines is that, once the narrative crumbles and what has happened is accepted common knowledge, there will be a huge drop in folk letting their kids get *actual* vaccines that are *actually* safe and *actually work*

It’ll also be interesting to see this thread turn. The vast majority on here were pro lockdowns. Some imbeciles, like @oaksoft , were zero covid supporters back in 2020. But they slowly turned and now pretend that they knew that lockdowns and masks didn’t work all along……

Absolutely, if you look at his scoring record before Rodgers came to celtic it was brilliant. There had to have been a reason he just didn't fancy him, and it must have been behind the scenes. Attitude and application.

Rodgers has proven to be a top coach and pragmatic, it seems unlikely to me he would sideline a guy with those stats without good cause.

Its a shame (for scotland) he's another in the long line of strikers who could have been our best guy, and it just didn't happen.

He signed Dembele then Edouard, both of whom were sold on for large profits

    Thats why he was sidelined

Griffiths was never in that class. He wasn’t even good enough for Wolves in League One.

He's not going to displace Rico. However Brentford have needed a RWB/RB for the past year, Mads Roerslev isn't really trusted there and Sergi Canos is defensively suspect.

Will be nice to have a Scottish player at Brentford.

They’re paying nearly £20m, a record for them.

They aren’t paying that unless they see him as their first choice left back

They must also think they can make a profit sometime in the future

  8. The increase in excess deaths since the start of the latest booster campaign continues

    Latest ONS figures today

The number of deaths registered in the UK in the week ending 24 June 2022 (Week 25) was 12,278, which was 15.9 % above the five-year average (1,682 excess deaths); of these deaths, 346 involved COVID-19

This is the greatest health disaster in history and it’s entirely man made

However, it would be confirmation that the majority of people in Scotland want independence. Then when the (reckless) Toaries refuse a Section 30 order it has them refusing to acknowledge the will of the Scottish people to be an independent nation.

It wouldn’t be confirmation at all. There are many folk who don’t vote in general elections because they don’t want to vote for any of the parties. Because it’s first past the post, many seats have very limited options standing.

Just because the SNP want to make it a single issue vote doesn’t make it so.

  10. 6,466 deaths above average with an underlying cause other than COVID-19 registered since April 23rd 2022 in the last 8 weeks according to latest ONS data.

This coincides with the spring rollout of fourth doses of the vaccine to the over-75s, which began around the end of March

Around 80% of the non-Covid excess deaths in May were in the over-75s.

The UKHSA has registered around 4 million booster doses distributed to over-75s since March 21st up to June 19th

Move along, nothing to see here…..

No way Shaughnessy or Dunne will go. I could see Fraser heading out, but he's too useful in that right-hand of three CHs role. If he's happy being backup then I think we'll keep him.

*if* we were to sign O’Connor and *if* we played with a back 4 then I’d imagine that the current central defenders won’t be happy, there may be interest in them and we might want to free up a wage. 3 back up central defenders would possibly be excessive.

All ifs though. Maybe we’re not interested in O’Connor now we have Gallagher and / or we’ll play 3 in central defence
