IMO we look a lot better at the 3atb but the only problem with that in our team is we don’t have the wing backs for it, Connolly and Smith are wingers, Dick doesn’t get forward enough to play that rule and Millen can’t get back if he goes forward, also that formation would work if brown played as an anchor in the MF so he drops in to make a 4 while still maintaining him in the MF

I thought Connolly and smith done well as wing backs today but the only criticism is have of Connolly was it was criminal completely missing the target when clean through, should’ve kept on going imo

When the 2nd cross came in for the goal Millen got dragged way out and he did have Connolly behind him covering, I had the perfect view as I was near the front, but my problem with that goal is we don’t stop both crosses coming into the box which is frustrating… I will add it was Eastons slack pass or whatever started the move for the goal but you’ve still got enough people to defend it though

I agree with what people are saying if Corr and Masson isn’t part of Murray’s plans and simply won’t play them do what’s the best for them either let them go or send out on loan rather than sitting on a bench getting next to no minutes. Jamie Gullan id let go in the summer Murray has been desperate for him back but has rarely started a game and hasn’t done much recently to warrant a start tbh. the full backs im at the stage where im not really arsed if they left because we can certainly do better. Byrne is quality but we need a runner next to him as he’s not the most mobile I feel the balance of the team is all over atm. as I said a few days ago on here we need a leader/organiser at the back as we’ve not really had that since Watsons been out and can we trust him to stay fit after his track record with injuries? We have to get a least 2 in this window in my opinion a FB and a CH not one or the other

Mare chance of keeping a cleansheet than either one of those 2 as consistent partnership for the next 4 months

Honestly if we don’t sign a defender or a full back who can actually stop crosses coming in before next week, I fear it might be 4 defeats on the bounce, Caley has recently moved to a 3atb and use there wing backs high and get balls into the box and as we all know that’s our weakness and tbh we never rectified in the summer and I doubt we will this window

CH is an issue but in my opinion it’s Also down to a big part of the wing backs or Full backs jobs IE Dick or Millen and today Connolly and Smith no one stops the crosses coming in look at the 2nd goal back I was at the right of the boy crossing and had a good view as was down near the front, Millen comes out shows the boy on his strong foot to get the cross in, show him down the line or on his left foot or get tighter to stop the cross we don’t do it like we love to back off and just them cross it, if that’s the case then we need better

I’m just curious to know, since Livingston are a premiership side and we are going there will VAR be in this game or do they get a choice to run it or not?

Aye I know but I’m saying get him out on loan playing week in week out so it benefits him looking for a move in the summer because if he stays here for the rest of the season he’s going to have next to no game time get him out to a league 2 side get him the game time he needs, he simply has to play to benefit going forward in his career and he’s not getting that here

Surely you’d get him out playing to find potential suitors because let’s be real he’s no gonna get a game here unless a mass injury crisis happens and needs must but I can’t see him playing at all long term or short term even so a loan get game time then see if the potential suitors comes in

Plus he’s something else that we’re missing a leader and organiser at the back since Keith’s been out we have not had that for months but all the reasons you’ve listed and what I’ve said it makes sense tbh

I’ve seen that megwa has been recalled by Hibs from his Loan at Airdrie can he play for someone else this season? Or since he’s played for 2 clubs that’s it? Because I wouldn’t mind him at the rovers if we could get him on loan

I’ve seen that, so possibly that means Ashcroft could be away? He’s been linked to us heavily and a few rumours have it you lot were waiting for a CH before sending to us again as stated that’s the rumour

I’ve seen people criticising some peoples reactions why? We’ve taken 5 points/15 points dropped 7 points at home against relegation fodder sides while leading at some point in all 3 games…. If you want to win a league title these are the games we should be winning at home. i get “you can’t win every game” but come on we’re allowed to criticise as well as giving out praise its a part of football

Just to counter that point but isn’t that upto Murray to try and change it if we’ve become too predictable though? Obviously the players do it on the park but he sets up how we play so surely he can change or the real question is can he change?

The 2nd goal does happen no matter who’s at the back it’s been like this for the past few seasons just can’t defend them and it’s not been rectified

Still can’t defend them though even with them 3 there we just seem to concede from corners/balls into the box or free kicks no matter who we have and it’s still not been a problem that’s been fixed

You say that but if Murray has no faith in Masson/McGill Gullan is hardly playing and Corr is in and out either send on loan and free up wages or just get rid all of them are on short contracts so wouldn’t cost much then get in better and Agree with you with Liam dick we need a vast upgrade he’s not a full back you win a title with

I’m at the point now, get rid aye he might be decent defensively but going forward and passing especially he’s extremely poor or just move him CH if need be, he’s not a title winning full back mid table/lower half championship full back at best imo

We created more than enough against Arbroath and Ayr to win those games but didn’t from winning positions mind you were just not clinical enough when we lead and only seem to find our shooting boots when things go wrong that’s my frustrations should’ve been out of sight against Arbroath out of Sight against QP today, aye their keeper did make a few good saves but Hamilton twice headered it straight at him if he picked a corner certain goals…. we just have to be a bit more clinical when we do go 1-0 up because the longer it goes and we’ve had a load of chances I fear we might chuck and we did those 2 games I’ve mentioned

I agree with the last part 100% but rather than a Mullin at RB why no give Masson or McGill who’s been reliable for Murray in those positions a run out who more defensively better I would say but I do get all the points you make, I would personally like to see a Fullback/someone who can play either side and another CB come in, it think we need an Ashcroft type in there a b*****d that would win stuff/lead from the back and get us somewhat organised at the back
