  1. I'm watching Partick against Dunfermline tonight. Changed my mind from earlier, not afraid of Partick with that leaky defence! While County have been very poor this season, not that bad! Whether it's County or Livi in the play off final I'd bet either team would win pretty easily tbh. Even if Dundee Utd finish in play off positions, still confident as Goodwin isn't a manager! County detinately low on confidence, key injuries as well, as long as they avoid bottom spot in the league there is a lot of hope still. Stay positive I reckon, give Don Cowie a chance. If the support can keep that in mind tomorrow, positive atmosphere etc etc. Even if it's a draw, I know not ideal, still a chance of staying up. Even if it is County's time to be relegated, hope Livi stay up. Likeable team, similar to us. Can't wait for tomorrow, there will be a lot of tension in that game!
  2. Yes, but they defended a lot more solidly that County did!!! Unfortunately, I think St. Johnstone now won't go down whilst for a while before Levein arrived they looked like last year's Dundee Utd. Shame really. This season, for County there is no such team. Even Livi picking up form now. Worrying times...
  3. Always had a soft spot for Livi, a club very much similar to County. I'm sad at the the thought that one or both could be relegated this season. Livingston will be slight favourites for this match, seem like they have turned a corner which County have yet to do. However, Don Cowie has to be given a chance IMO. I hope there is a huge turnout of home fans for this game, it really is the biggest match of the season so far! For the non-season ticket holders who can afford it (during cost of living crisis) I hope they turn up in style and fully back the team. No idea what the team should be, but whoever is picked, it's time for the County players to show they f'in care!!! Dhanda, probably disappointed he didn't get his Jan move to Hearts, yet if he wants to get in their team when he joins must step up a bit I feel. Would be great to see White get a goal, Brophy too. The confidence that would help the team massively. Murray I don't worry so much as he always gives 100% Can't wait, a draw isn't good enough for County I reckon.
  4. Liam Boyce & Craig Curran fairly recently for County I'd say. While Curran didn't score as many goals, they were super up front and worked well together. Regan Charles-Cook & Joseph Hungbo as well, super pace with Charles-Cook joint top scorer at end of season. Whilst playing for a 'small' team, that was such an achievement! Ross Stewart didn't need a partnership, top quality through & through. Attitude, pace and ability. Also his defensive work. Run the full pitch!
  5. I certainly hope Dundee Utd win the Championship as really don't fancy our chances against them. With Partick, would worry as well in a play off final, revenge basically. This weekends match is massive and Livi are on form by the looks of it. However, if County could somehow sneak a win... I don't even care about quality, a scrappy 1-0 would do. I don't think, form wise, County are even favourites for this match.
  6. Unless there is a shock fall of Hibs, happened before I suppose... or Aberdeen, though doubt it. Basically catching Motherwell is the only hope of avoiding play offs and that's assuming Livingston stay bottom. St. Johnstone aren't going down. Have a feeling Motherwell won't either. Play off place is probably best hope. I won't blame Don Cowie for that. Raith / Partick / Morton in a play off, I'd still be hopeful as long as it's not Partick in the final again.
  7. Levein is a decent manager who made good Jan signings. Adams in this spell, didn't. To be fair I hear the goalkeeper is good (not seen him play yet)
  8. Play offs are winnable, more about nerves on the day than ability. County have recent experience. Must avoid relegation spot! I think it's still possible to stay in the league, but it's going to be very, very close and nerve wracking yet again. Cowie has learned from managers at Watford, Cardiff, Wigan, Hearts etc as a player as well as his experiences here. Give him a chance. As for relegation, if it happens, the championship with Falkirk back, Raith, Partick etc, it's entertaining, but I don't think we would be straight back up. County could be down for a while. The Livi game is huge, for those that can afford it, this is not to be missed. Positive atmosphere will help the team. Win this, then see what happens
  9. I know, it's terrible. Brophy in the games I've seen still needs to get fitter. Remember the form he was in when he first arrived? Murray at least tries 100% and could hit scoring form. White if he gets his confidence back... well I remember his hatrick last season away to Dundee United. What a match that was! Next weekends match at home to Livingston is HUGE, although County are off form, I hope it's packed out with home fans. Want to avoid that bottom spot.
  10. Fans turning on Cowie this early really pisses me off. I know the Rangers game was embarressing , but give him time at least!
  11. County will have a run of form this season, I'm certain. Just hope it's not too late by then. Livingston next week is massive. Shame they have hit form. Yet, it is winnable.
  12. OK, Dundee scored twice, yet they only had a mere 4 shots on target! Murray should have scored and it would have been a different game if he has. County had 17 shots off target to Dundee's 14. Possession pretty much level. Away too. Dundee are probably going to be top 6, on form and overall have been pretty good this season. The worrying thing, is teams near us like St. Johnstone & Motherwell have a larger squads and don't have injuries to key players. Baldwin is a big miss, Randall too, remember Allardice?
  13. Don't care how they do it, but a County win here would be massive! I didn't think Dundee were that great in the infamous match in Dingwall, nor did I think it was that poor quality from either teams that day. Saw a lot worse in other matches put it that way. Dundee are safe and will be looking at top 6 finish so hope that brings complanency from them. Would be ironic if it is a totalnclassic, end to end 3-4 victory to the Staggies. Can't say I'm confident, but you never know...
  14. Aberdeen, why couldn't ya help County out FFS? County have been gifting the Dons wins this season as well, practically rolling over for them. Motherwell at home, new manager, WTF is that! Especially with Miovski, proper striker.
  15. Yeah, totally spot-on. The team IS good enough to survive IMO, play offs or otherwise... 3-1 loss to an very in-form Rangers away from home isn't a disaster. However bloody Aberdeen drawing with Well though could be problematic towards end of season. It's those kind of results that could relegate County...
  16. Certainly that Morton result puts things in perspective. Motherwell ain't that great as shown last night. The County players downed tools in that Motherwell showing too. Despite who the manager is, don't like seeing that from the players. Hope Cowie can get them back onside, create the belief that the team is good enough to stay up. I think they are, despite what Adams said.
  17. Well I certainly wasn't doing it as a 'negative' attack on the person. In fact being on the spectrum in a LOT of industries is now considered a major asset. Times have changed. The interviews this time round were very unusual. As for depression, who doesn't go through issues especially at this time of year! He certainly didn't sound or look happy. Was something promised in the deal before he signed that didn't materialise? I don't know. Was there also personal things going on, only he knows. Also quite a few of the great managers had sometimes very odd behaviour, whether Brian Clough, Jim McLean, Alex Ferguson. Anyway, onwards & upwards, I wish Adams well for the future and hope to see Don Cowie succeed.
  18. He could be on the autistic spectrum, Ausberger's or something. Definetly people skills issues sometimes. ADHD? May also not be in a good place mentally either. Doesn't look happy. He was a great player though and we had good spells with him. Wish him the best. It's over, he's gone. I think the players are good enough to stay up. A while to go yet. Don't forget even White can hit form, rarely!
  19. For an experienced manager, the Highlands is a VERY good selling point. While I can imagine for young players, they want the nightlife and buzz of a city, so County overlooked or we alternatively have to overpay them. However, for a manager, this is a very good gig! Staying up, even if via play off still possible. That and the scenery. Nice stadium & facilities too. Must be able to attract some with decent record and good ideas. I don't think the players are as bad as Adams alluded too. That final interview just watched, FFS! The team can definately can stay up, just will be close again.
  20. Hope we can entice a decent manager. Can see it being a cheap style Don Cowie style person.
