It’s nothing to be ashamed of. A win is a win and all that.

I don’t mind a rope a dope victory.  Actually some of my favourite performances / victories.

however being camped in the opposition box is not “sucker punch” football.

I feel for you guys if you think you were in that. Other than a 60 yard diag over the top did Aberdeen actually create anything at all?

Roos made 6 fairly routine saves today. One of your missed open goals was given as offside. Other than Forrest’s miss, I can’t recall another chance that had me mopping my brow.

The better team on the day won - not one post on here says otherwise. But jambos milking the stats to try and imply today was a cigars oot scoosh is hilarious data voyeurism.

Not at all. It was as comfortable a win as we’ve had all season.  Bar out frailty from set pieces it was a scoosh

It was a classic sucker punch/smash and grab performance from hearts. We fell for the rope a dope on this occasion.

lol. What a load of absolute delusional rubbish. Totally dominated territory, totally dominated possession, totally dominated efforts at goal.  As soon as Aberdeen left the security of the 18 yard box it was all over.

I actually not sure I’ve seen a team with less threat than Aberdeen.

Posting I am an idiot would have been far quicker.

Since they were formed scotlands 5th biggest club have won more than both edinburgh diddies combined

well that’s also clearly not true is it.

to be fair, every fan in Scotland respect what Aberdeen did 40 years ago. How could we not.  We can’t ever take it away.

but you haven’t won more than the Edinburgh clubs combined. In fact aberdeen have won a total of 1 domestic trophy more than hearts.  (And given the league cup counts less than the SC) 🙂 it’s not some tbh ing I’ll fret about.

Head to head records all sit in heart favour, overall league placing’s hearts favour and given we are now beginning to stretch our legs financially off the pitch for the first time ever.  And given the respective trajectories of the 2 cities overtaking that domestic record is a matter of when.

Hearts were impressive first half, up the park twice in the second half though and scored one of their chances, thems the breaks

we had 14 efforts in the second half. 2 of them were basically open goals over and above the goals.

like a bit of revisionism the dons fans eh!! Some place

    Are you @8gamestogo?

nope. No idea who that is. I normally post of kickback but felt the need to introduce some sense and fact into this thread.

one thing I will say is .  I like pollock.  If we had signed him to replace Halkett we’d still be 10 points clear.  He’s good as is Duk who Aberdeen clearly missed.

Clearly Aberdeen struggle with pace when he’s not available as hearts do with Ginelly.

Were you at the game today? The off the ball stuff from Aberdeen.  Don’t know whether to admire it or slaughter it.  Half expect robson to pull off his mask and expose prime Craig levein.

You mean like Hearts winning goal?

you should be pretty thankful you didn’t take an absolute hiding. Hearts winning goal was clearly on and there were no were clearly no pens (apart from maybe the hand ball hearts were denied).

You were however very fortunate to be given the opportunity to finish the game with 11.  Unlike us in the last 2 weeks.

  8. Had to have a chuckle at this thread, Aberdeen fans complaining about getting nothing from ref. Apart from let away with 2 clear second  bookings that is.  Even Willie Miller said he “couldn’t defend” Watkins one.

a more cynical team I don’t think I’ve seen to be honest, leaving the foot in constantly, niggly fouls off the ball time wasting at 0-0. Brutal !

hearts were utterly dominant,  30+ efforts at goal is the kind of number you usually expect against lower league opposition and on another day 6/7 would have been about right. As for Aberdeen they are “basic” tight compact but really pretty mediocre other than being solid defensively. I actually think they’ve made a mistake with robson, not the kind of footbal their fans will enjoy and once the luck runs out they will be screaming for his head.

As for hearts - Downing tools for Robbie, and the loss of Gordon, Halkett, Beni   And Boyce has hurt us in terms of league position and I doubt we will secure 3rd from here .

BUT if we can get those 3 back with Boyce and add a couple I think we can qualify for the groups off our own back.

After all the overblown outrage and contrived defence of Maloney's "shameful"/"on the edge" choice of tactics a change in perspective shows what was really happening

That was a desperate last throw of the dice that didn't come off

Desperate tactics from a desperate man. Delighted on one hand and disappointed on the other.. will cost hibs a fair few Bob.  That’s 2 former managers on the payroll

Hibs absolutely played on the edge and honestly were lucky to finish with 10 men. However your pearl clutching, holier than thou attitude about it is a bit much. Have watched Hibs for 40 years and have seen Hearts win a derby or ten with much worse play.

When was that.? Yesterday Hibernian were a disgrace to the game. Maloneys on tactic was clearly to go out and injure opposition players.

with a semi competent ref it would have never have been allowed to happen.

I don’t mind physical.  That was well beyond anything I’ve seen

You won man, stop greetin like a tit.  First ever time we have launched ourselves into doing a hearts, you win and still moan.

25 years of kicking the shit out us and no giving a pish about flair.  Why grumble?   Probably because you know Hibs are rotten and still were the better side even down to ten today.  Maloney hasn't a clue, Hearts 3rd and had to resort to time wasting and cheating against us, who are rank.

Decent display though, we heard before you boys don't like that kind of stuff?

Aye, I'm not getting my nat king tonight either.  Been that kind of day.

    Happy Easter.

Being physical is one thing - I’d have expected no less after last week and I’ve watched hearts players put in bad challenges and be physical over the years.   but I think yesterday was the first time I’ve watched a game and thought players are going out to deliberately hurt someone.

I think you think the same tbh..

    Happy Easter 👍🏻

  12. yep just watched it back and it just confirmed my initial thoughts. Hibernian should be ashamed of that today. Hammer throwers facilitated by an incompetent ref.. lucky to finish with 10 a should have finished with 8

I read how hibs were good, we weren’t at our best but we still created and missed the best chances.. we were flagged offside twice when clean through and were definitely not offside.. and the the one where sims was clean through and that hammer thrower Porteous pushed him and fell to the ground.

    Total joke
