  1. The irony of a guy who has been coming on here to argue with people every single day for 17 years to call anyone permaraging is something else.
  2. What's this about? Ronnie was obviously heavily responsible for turning around the fortunes of Clyde and Accies at one time and I know it's maybe gone a bit stale for him at Accies but McGowan from everything I read is a crook and not to be trusted.
  3. Absolute hysterical knicker wetting over the Ebbo stuff on here, and quite clear a large volume of this forum have never been involved in the game at any level. He lost the rag in the heat of the moment due to being goaded and watching Stranraer players celebrating like the world cup. Oh my god he gave the home fans who gave the Clyde dugout abuse for 90 minutes the vicky, lock him up and throw the key away! It happens, people blow off steam during these things, they aren't thinking rationally during these moments, been there and seen it myself, every single person I know who has played or been involved with football teams has acted this way at one time or another in a similar situation. I have seen words, arguments, hands raised to full all out brawls on pitches, dressing rooms etc. Its an emotional game, god forbid people don't act like robots. It'll all blow over, go and away cos its absolutely fucking nothing.
  4. Seeing a lot of Clyde fans saying we should never have left Broadwood. Sure we could have called NLL/NLC or whoever's bluff about the DGW thing and told them to ram their threats but what would the eventual outcome have been? Still not having the lease renewed a year later anyway? A place we were threatened with eviction from for years, a place that we complained was too big, that the rent was too much, that the local community never fully backed the club, a landlord getting involved and interfering in what players we sign, a place we had even considered changing the name of the club to just get out of. We had a play off final punted out for fucking stunt bikes. Had enquired with every junior club under the sun as an alternative. Hamilton certainly is not the answer but Broadwood is definitely not the solution either.
  5. Club who have been living ouwith their means and it has caught up with them. Competing comfortably in League 1 on sub 300 crowds with no ground to speak of. Looks like the sugar daddy cash has dried up and they clearly can't be self sustaining now. No loss if they go bust.
  6. Probably back to trying again with Shettleston, unless that's another bridge we've burnt too that I'm unaware of. Looking at another 3-5 years minimum at NDP I reckon. In the Lowland League as well almost certainly.
  7. Very possible to get even worse in the likely scenario Finnart get Crownpoint and not us. Blame Lennon then Duffy all you want, the budget is not enough regardless who is manager, and tbf, riding it out at Broadwood past our welcome was not the answer either.
  8. I'm a bit anxious we won't get the nod for Crownpoint and we've stuck all our eggs in this basket with no backup plan - not that I'm a lover of the location personally, but we don't have any viable alternatives on the table by the looks of it. Although I think our bid is stronger, as we have a fanbase and something resembling a professional football club. Finnart are already based in the area and theres a lot of buzzwords in their application about foodbanks, mental health etc, so even if I can never ever see them attracting a fanbase of any sort and their ceiling being beyond the lower reaches of the pyramid, I wouldn't underestimate the possibility of decision makers being wooed by them instead especially given the mud that has stuck to the club the last few years. As far as on the park, we are going down, thats a formality now, but we will slide even further quickly if we end up stuck at Accies.
  9. I am maybe in the minority and would rather keep Danny just now as I think we are in a situation of where we can only piss with the cock we've got. We don't have huge resources so I think any change would be a big risk in itself. I think there's decent fight and spirit in the team and we can still grind out points - we've been in rocky situations before with Danny and then managed to dig out points. That said though I totally see why people might want a change and won't argue that. Eventually that fire fighting approach will probably catch up with us. Since we've came into the league virtually every year a well backed team has replaced a skint one and eventually we might be the next one to tumble. I'm not going to deny its likely going to be anything but a long hard winter. We need some movement on the Crownpoint front too, at least some solid information. The lack of hope we are going to have a home of our own would hurt fan enthusiasm as much as defeats week after week could I feel. I'm a bit sceptical on the location of Crownpoint. I would have preferred going further east but no idea what was on the table of course, if anything.
  10. Open Goal cash will be paying it. Like I said on the other thread, new content and extra views for the youtube channel is the big thing here, match attendance and wins and losses secondary.
  11. Far too many competing for the old firm wee team coin. Match attendance will still be shite and the novelty truly dead by the end of September when anyone wants to see circus act will have had a chance by then. The fact they're parading Slaney shows how desperate the level of appeal is. The main coin is youtube views which will do fine for a while with some dressing room shouting and balling. No one is paying to go to Broadwood on a December or January afternoon to see Gretna or Caley Braves though.
  12. Cumbernauld are right up there with Caledonian Braves and the Open Goal lot for me, bunch of snakes. Reason they went into Broadwood in the first place is they were trying to capitalise on one of the many occasions where we almost left Broadwood thinking they'll pap us out now for sure they've got another tenant every two weeks...the problem with that is that they have f**k all fans and always will. The likes of Cumbernauld United and EK Thistle elsewhere already fill the gap in these newer big towns for a local accessible club to go and watch games at. There's no appetite for these shitey teams like Cumbernauld Colts at all. f**k off and stay in your lane, which is boys club football.
  13. Another thing I don't get is why are they allowed to play home games at Dumbarton, Whitehill Welfare, Airdrie etc as opposed to Ibrox or Parkhead? I thought the whole point is to prepare them for eventual top level football, not provide a glimpse into their futures as lower league jobbers. It just goes to show thick these LL busy bodies are. They have a trip to Ibrox or Parkhead in front of thousands in their heads when in reality its Dumbarton in front of hundreds. Also the fact the arsecheek derby is given special treatment and gets moved to the main stadiums is just comical. How about then any time a team draws either in the cup they just lease out Hampden for a "home game"? The LL have shown its that simple eh? This is the worst run league I've seen anywhere. Jumpers for goalposts shite.
  14. League full of pointless pathetic clubs. Cumbernauld Boys Club, Open Goal Alloa, the Caledonian Braves conmen for starters. Why don't they just ask to enter them in the Premiership? Or would that compromise the integrity of the game?
  15. Not sure if it was on here but did anyone see our community walking football has been prevented from using Broadwood (not even the main stadium) because NLC stated they run their own and ours clashes with it? Which they charge people to use whilst ours is free.
