  1. Let's hope Montgomery can fashion more than one winning XI/formation out of that squad.
  2. Hibs 101: 1. Be plucky 2. Be technically inept 3. Lose the head 4. Blame corrupt Reffing Newsflash, Rangers bossed it and know exactly how to play a big occasion. We played like wee bairns in a big game....again!
  3. Giving away a pen and getting sent off. Obita is Rangers best player.
  4. We can play fast when the opposition demands it of us then, we just can't defend or play simple balls in our own box.
  5. 75 mins of turgid pish from us followed by 15 mins of decent football and County gifting us the first goal. Play like that next week and we're in for a beating. Didn't notice anyone for County today, which is unusual because I'm used to them being battlers; must be tough times up there
  6. Yes it's another 'must win' game for us. Monty doesn't do 3 points often. Let's hope he delivers the win tomorrow. Cowie has won 1 of his opening 4 matches as County boss. Let's hope that becomes 1 of his opening 5.
  7. Thank goodness its just the Hibbies that are deluded.
  8. That last ACL has robbed Boyle of a ton of his pace to be fair.
  9. I don't know about their lot but I'd happily issue lifetime bans to ours.
  10. It's certainly true that our Fan:Fanny ratio has been on the rise but it's almost completely the ultras who supply the ultra fannies. Last night it seemed that we had our fannies well spread out all over the first 15 rows of the stand.
  11. Hearts were Tom Kite apart from Hasselhoff and we still didn't make their goalie make more than a couple of comfy saves. Mongomery played for the draw in the end. Moriah Welsh and Obita are absolute standouts for us.
  12. Superb Hearts 12th man play from Clancy in the first half. Let's see who bet 365 tell him to favour in the 2nd.
  13. No explanation will suffice if you reject them all. That's self-fulfilling prophecy bias. It's simple. Foley gets what he wants (a club with a shout of Europe) for a lot less money than keeping Bournemouth in the EPL. If his network can sell 5 x £5m players a year or 5 x £10m players a year, or European revenue or commercial income or or or...it's just economies of scale for him. His tax bill will be multiples of what he's given us. Having made his money, and being closer to the end of his life than the start; Foley wants to build one more thing. Foley wants to play. We're letting him play. Post Foley and Post Gordons...now that's another story altogether.
  14. The idea (and it's only an idea) is that the money spent on infrastructure, is to create revenue generating infrastructure. This point seems to be overlooked all the time. So the idea of spending money on infrastructure is to create this lovely phrase of Kensell's 'club controlled income'. In other words 'Bill, them other two clubs keep generating more cash than us, give us some money so that we can sell stuff to make our revenues closer to theirs will you? We'll give you shares and everything.' That's the hypothesis behind sustainability. Then when we mismanage stuff, Uncle Bill throws more money at the playing budget to compensate for our incompetence.
  15. The £6m is his ante to get the club in his network, not his total/final investment.
  16. Foley wants to build a network. He wants a team in European competition. Gordons want investment but not to lose majority shareholding. Foley finds the cheapest possible route to European competition where his network's players can be showcased. He gives Hibs £6m, which is pennies to him to get what he wants.
  17. There's no way anything much changes in the short term, we're too far off the pace. The best bits are the debt to the Gordons is gone, the covid debt is interest free and repayable over 20 years AND is around £1.8m (£90k p/a). There's now £6m coming in that we didn't have before then an attempt to run things sustainably by increasing 'club controlled income' from the assets created by that £6m. Then we go back to Foley when we want to do something huge but get players from the network that we couldn't possibly afford any other way otherwise, in the meantime. Even if that's all that happens, it's a damn sight better than the last few years. Let's start from there and see how it goes.
  18. It was only ever going this way. Best quote tonight was the explanation of being in a network not a club foodchain. 'We sign who we want, we play who we want, we sell to who we want'
  19. It's Socialism at home to Capitalism at ER tonight (Kick Off 6pm) in the 'Future of Our Club' Cup Final. Who's your money on to emerge victorious?
  20. Moriah-Welsh and Myziane absolute standouts for us today. Dundee's strip looked good and their support applauding Ron's tribute on 68 mins was a touch of class that won't be forgotten.
  21. When have the Hibs fans ever trusted the people in charge?
  22. For Moz at least, the low life had lost it's appeal and he was tired of walking these streets, to a room with it's cupboards bare.
