Thanks for the suggestion, and regarding "friendly matches", I maintained that there were no such fixtures when I played sport.

I think I found it. Elgin City beat Buckie 11-1 in the Highland League on October 24th, 1970.

Division A - Round 4 stewartmathers loses to AH13STU by resignation A match from piece swap central, led to a pawn foot race for queen which AH13STU held the upper hand. Thought about cheekily offering a draw at that point, but did the honorary thing instead. Look forward to visting your ground later this season. Hope to have a few new signings by then.

Note to self - to concentrate a bit more for the remainder of the season. Had left my king open to attack through bad pawn management, so would likely have suffered for it anyway. Well played!
