Always feel for goalkeepers when it doesn't go smoothly. Rae might well be a good keeper but you' can't have situations like the second goal against Alloa then follow it up with the East Fife goal today. Both were independently poor but unacceptable at any professional level. Neither goal was about level either.

Someone might have said it already but who could have guessed that playing players in their best roles makes a big difference. While it wasn't some wild miracle some of the more creative players were able at times to make things happen. We actually created chances at least.

Like Neilson I've not seen much of Denholm to make any judgement of my own whether I think he's good enough or not but... If he is a step up from the likes of Mcpake and Smith then f**k it. A loan signing is a policy I don't mind about. I'm not arsed if it's developing someone else's player as long as it's used as a method to sign players that are better than the ones we can attract on a permanent basis. If you get better results you can then start attracting better players permanently... In theory anyway. Is he better than we can sign? Not seen enough of him to judge for myself.

I imagine the signing allows for a better back three as I'm convinced they're unable to give up the using a back three despite it just never working. Although they maybe see it as a better way to getting the front 2 on the park and then not need as many of the useless Mcpakes and Smith's of the squad.
