Surely he's not going to expect guarantees over playing time after a good season in league 1 though? I couldn't see Levein and co being willing to guarantee him anything other than he'll be in and around the squad in the League Cup and go from there. It would then be up to him to show what he's got. If we'd signed someone from his level at his age they wouldn't get any kind of guarantee over playing time from the manager.

I'm not ITK though but he's been mentioned on here and I've seen some Saints fans retweeting stuff from RandomG about that player that was originally posted months ago. Based on the fact almost immediately this summer his agent has been punting his name via all the pretend in the know fake rumour mill "journalists" on twitter I wouldn't be at all shocked that some kind of release clause was mandatory from them in the negotiations when he signed. There when was a Sports journalist with 20 followers claiming he had the exclusive on him yesterday My worry is now him being unsettled by this agent. "Force the move by going on strike". I wouldn't be surprised if that's the kind of shit this agent tries to pull. Not at all convinced that most of the top half Championship clubs are all fighting over his signature like his agent is touting either.

Does his agent ever stop trying to flog him? I just cannot see these clubs being genuinely interested. Pace like his is a commodity I know and he's done well but he's got a couple of glaring issues in his game right now that I cant imagine Premier League aspiring sized clubs just ignoring. I could be wrong but I do think this is the agent dropping these rumours rather than there being serious interest. Although these clubs might think the smaller fee is worth the risk? Soon find out.

What is the impact on this "approval in principle"...? I presume they'll need to explicitly confirm they won't change the badge etc as requested and also provide some kind of written plan on how they'll meet the fan engagement requirements during the takeover. That'll take time though. Does that then mean though the SPFL will not officially approve it until upon receipt of the requested info at the next meeting?

Would be inclined not to believe many of them. I reckon it would have ended up in the proper media outlets by now if a move was imminent. I've seen some EFL account claiming top end championship clubs and even some yoyo premier League clubs are interested. He's done well but not well enough to be signing for Championship title challengers.

I have some doubt MacPherson has signed on reduced terms, if they are reduced it won't be massively reduced. I'd be surprised if he accepted a large reduction in terms & a one year deal. Often the compromise is if the player is going to accept a reduction in terms they'll get a longer contract. Although it's not like he's in a strong negotiating position. I'd quite like Saints to go back to the kind of contracts they offered during the Tommy Wright days. Fairly average basic salary but good bonuses.

Gordon's contract is about terms. I reckon he'll need an improvement on his existing contract for him to be willing to stay. Unless we're the only decent offer... Will the club be willing to offer improved terms? Stockport rumour apparently not came to anything either, so far anyway.
