Shame that we all second guessed you apart from the nonsense of an approach re CM………. as far fetched as your home crowd figures on 16th Dec
I actually did think that they approached Morrison so it’s exactly what I assumed. The only way anyone in their board could know where Morrison was going is if Hamilton were in talks with him. It’s not the first time they’ve done this with one of our players, tried it with Arfield years ago.
I do find it odd that we can have almost 3x the fanbase of Hamilton and they somehow can attempt to steal one of our players.
I don’t think Hamilton’s team is as strong as they think, these new signings will need to be a huge improvement on what they already have to offer any proper title challenge now.

It would be disappointing to lose Morrison but I don’t think it would be a disaster. I think Ethan Ross could do very well if he had to step in and we also have Agyeman as an option.

Tbf to McGlynn his recruitment has been excellent. There’s only 2 or 3 players in that list who haven’t been good for us.

There’s nothing more I enjoy than seeing how “the club like no other” react when they lose. It’s always comedy gold and extremely satisfying. Also like how they throw their own under the bus when things go against them. I’m looking forward to all the anti Brendan stuff.

Think he is gutted?
I liked it when their fans were all enjoying goading us with their goal only to be silenced three minutes later by Miller, you can see that burned them inside. Things you love to see.

Thought it was a nice touch from our players to celebrate the second goal in front of those fuds in the main stand. I couldn’t make out who went right up to them but got the desired reaction.

Guess European football isn’t for everyone

It’s hard to not be paranoid as a Falkirk fan, we have always been shafted by the SFA; denying us promotion on numerous occasions etc. That refereeing performance was disgraceful and it’s hard to argue that he was unbiased in his decision making. It looked very much like he tried to have Falkirk drop points today. There has to be some proper look at what he did today.

Sun reporting that there could be an SPFL meeting early new year to decide to ban plastic pitches for new season. If true it looks like Livi will be thrown to the lions unless they receive in their words huge financial help for changing to grass. Throws up so many scenario’s for who would gain or lose out.
Again if the story is true, the implications for anyone in the championship with plastic that are fortunate to maybe get a promotion slot, be refused entry….I think the decision to ban plastic pitches in the premiership would not benefit the majority of Scottish clubs. As usual, the decision would be made just to benefit the bigot brothers. If the Old Firm are so desperate to get rid of Astro then they should maybe look at what the top clubs in Holland do. Those clubs use their money from European football to support smaller clubs in the Eredivise to ensure they can afford grass pitches.

Not really relevant to the point that was being made tbf
Of course it’s relevant, the average attendance for League 1 is well below 1000. It’s a huge difference for part time players playing in front of 4000 fans.

Your average attendance this season is 3,605.
TFS is hardly a cauldron.
Rubbish, it’s still over 4000 we average which is good considering we have no away fans to welcome playing in this league.

What a lot of shite. Falkirk are one of the best teams (probably the best) in the league so teams naturally have to play better in order to beat them. No team specifically raises their game against Falkirk. You ain’t that important
I remember watching Clyde beat us in a game a few years back where they found a level no one knew they had. I Just so happen to be at one of their games a week later and they didn’t put anywhere near the effort in that they did against us. We’re playing against teams who aren’t used to playing in front of a crowd like ours and they find an extra gear.

You just made that up didn’t you
Falkirk fans sounding a bit like rangers fans now
Well every team wants to beat Falkirk in this league, teams certainly seem to find an extra stride that they don’t have in other games. It’s an advantage all our rivals have over us.

The problem Falkirk have is that teams like Montrose try harder against us than others. However, we should be beating these teams irrespective of that.

An Ayr Untied fan trying to crowd w**k! Lol
I chuckled at that as well.

I think the problem Queens have is it’s going to cost a lot to pay Bartley off. You also then have to recruit and there’s no obvious choice for who you bring in that can genuinely improve results. League 1 is not a good place to be when things start going wrong, the league is not suitable for full-time clubs. Falkirk average 4000 at home and we have found ourselves financially struggling. I do feel for you.

You were a bit late to see some of the best Falkirk players I’ve seen as a fan. Kenny Milne sticks out as the best defender I saw.

It’s been a great run to get to the semis considering we’ve had to beat championship opposition on three occasions (granted Ayr are more like a League 1 club in stature). Tonight was brilliant to watch, that intensity has been completely absent in big games for years.

Dunfermline shit fested their way to the title last season by not playing great and winning narrowly on quite a few occasions. I'll take that all day long if it means getting out of this league. End of the day that's two weeks on the bounce we haven't been brilliant but we haven't lost. In fact we gained a point on Hamilton. We aren't going to thump teams three, four and five every week.
Not going to complain with taking three points but performances can be a concern. Better teams may take advantage of that.

It’s too many games that we keep saying we’ve not played well but got the win. We need to start winning more convincingly with games like this at home.

You’re just making shit up now, nobody has said this! However people are correct when pointing out the negative atmosphere in the stadium previously was indeed noted and used against us by opposition, this was confirmed by a current player who said it actually made up part of his managers team talk before playing against us at TFS. I’m totally convinced the excellent atmosphere in the stadium this season which has been notable from day one has helped the players massively. Long may it continue!
I can assure you that the stadium will turn sour if we play as diabolically as we have prior to McGlynn arriving. No doubt fans can lift players but there’s only so much fans can do. Some of the players we’ve had in a Falkirk top in recent years needed new legs and a different head to play even to a reasonable standard.

Fans aren’t stupid though, and understand that players are lifted by them. McGlynn was crystal clear about that this week. And it’s been confirmed that opposing managers used Falkirk fans’ well-known angst against us. So it’s logical that fans now do the opposite and get behind the team more, especially when things are tough. I hope it lasts when a bad result or two comes along.
Yeah Sheran and McKinnon assembled a team that would’ve won the league, the atmosphere in the stadium was to blame.

Fair enough, but running a successful youth system costs a huge amount of money as Falkirk know. If Hamilton linger in league 1 then they won’t be able to keep that going. Also, their first team isn’t made up of much of their youth system.
