  1. I felt pre season Houston had earned the right to choose when he left.

Now I feel he's got til the end of the first quarter. That's three games, and we should be looking at  5 points minimum. Though that seems like pie in the sky at this point.

Feels to me like Houston's mentally retired and playing golf in Tenerife already.

I hope he can ask himself if he's genuinely up for it and if not then give Maybury a shot. Can't be any worse surely.

If we're still winless after 9 games and the board haven't pulled the trigger then they can GTF also

I'm quite looking forward to it in a weird sort of way, even though I cannot see anything other than a Falkirk win. We really are garbage.

I wish we were as garbage as you

Good so promotion by a good few points this season .

Yes that would be good, though there's a few sides will now be fancying their chances this coming season.

We're not short of numbers, but the fullback positions look weak and either Shepherd or O'Hara really need to step up and merit a starting role. All the best to them both.

I've no doubt Houstie will get the best out of the squad he has, whether it's enough remains to be seen

  4. All other things being equal, average attendance is best indicator of where a side can realistically expect to finish.

Wealthy sugar daddies a la Man city, Chelsea and county, and well run, prudent (calculated risk taking) clubs a la Southampton, Spurs and St. Johnstone skew that somewhat.

Leicester's success was a rare anomaly, though interesting to note their average attendance is higher than Spurs'

As for us, I think we'll do ok. We've done better than expected the last 2 seasons and we'll probably get the same outcome this season, as things stand

    f**k Clyde.

    f**k you for posting it.

f**k ANEWHOPE for reopening the wounds.

However.... 2002 was the darkness then the light. Saved by pure chance. Jobby McCall came.... then in early 2003 perhaps my favourite ever day at Brockville when we absolutely smashed Hearts to bits then proceeded to romp the league with the most attractive football in my time as a fan.

Great shout, lets take a moment to reflect upon that day

Anyone know much about the youth players we let go? Fair decisions or not?

Was surprised at McMinn, assumed he'd be number 2 next season. Maybe he prefers game time at a lower level. Thought he and Eadie and Johnson were well rated.

Fact that none of them looked remotely like troubling the first team maybe says it all. Hopefully we've got some good prospects coming through, that can step up at some point

  7. It would, and if we retain Hippo and Aird that's plenty pace up top and out wide.

McKee although we've not seen much of him looks to have a bit of drive on him too.

Sibbald really ought to be at a higher level, and on that i saw the record had him linked to Ostersund in Sweden. Shit article with no merit but i cant help thinking he could do better than that

  8. I'd agree re: Miller, think he still has plenty to offer footballing wise and in a mentoring capacity. As well as simply being BSLM

I'd also keep Baird for next season, although the future is obviously O'Hara and Austin.

Based on current squad and on being in this division next season we should be looking at a starting XI of:

    gk: Thomson

    rb: Kidd

    lb: Leahy

    cb: Gaspo

    cb: Grant

    cm: Taiwo

    cm: Sibbald

    rm: Aird

    lm: Hippo

    cf: Austin

    cf: O'Hara

Distinct possibility several of those won't be here next season, so Muirhead for Grant, Gallacher for Leahy, McKee for Sibbs, someone else for Hippo, assuming those 4 move on.

  9. On the subject of Fulton, iimr he was our leading assist-er by some way before his move to Swansea, and was what, 18?

Though he wasn't a guaranteed starter, he had enough about him at a time we were churning out some top ballrrs. If he develops a bit of pace and dig he'll do very well in the game imo

Imagine being that petty and acting as if your our rivals

Fair enough if it was Stirling or some other diddy mob who are actually your rivals who won a cup and took it around Falkirk but the jealousy and hatred towards the famous Edinburgh Hibees is quite bizarre from the Grangemouth mutants.

You'll get treated just the same as the binos you tinks
