Because Sammut kept trying to drop deep to collect the ball and dictate play. He couldn't because Paton was playing that role. I'll reword my original comment just for you; Sammut and Paton are very similar and thought that, in the second half, Sammut was better at controlling the game than Paton.

Pretty obvious from Saturday that Paton and Sammut can't be in the same team. Sammut looked lost in the first half. I reckon this was down to him not being able to drop back and dictate play. I like Paton but would have Sammut's energy (and inevitable ability) in there everyday of the week.

TNS Radio said the trialist was Josh Davidson?
