  1. This should be a comfortable win for Dumbarton.

We are honestly brutal at the moment. Give away cheap easy goals and struggle massively in front of goal.

Every crucial end of season game so far we have choked, confidence is clearly rock bottom and I'm expecting Dumbarton to hit the final nail in the coffin over these two games.

We have had survival in our own hands for weeks and weeks and blown it every time.

I would love to sit here and think "oh it's one off games, it's a reset, nothing before matters etc" but we have shown nothing for months that gives me any glimmer of hope in these playoffs.

  2. Ross Stewart is back for Southampton in full training and Russell Martin says he is expected to be in the squad this weekend.

Too late I feel to get the nodnfor Euros squad even if he was to bag a couple goals in remaining games

  3. Discussed to death I'm sure but can't be arsed searching back;

I know Beith working for their license, if they win league, will they be allowed to compete in playoff? And of the other clubs in contention, who would be/wouldn't be allowed?

I assume criteria from Wosfl to LL is different to that of Tier 5 to SPFL

  4. On paper Annan should win this. Their form has been magnificent lately, fighting for every result and have clawed themselves into eighth spot. We have been very poor, obviously lacking confidence and struggling to score.

That being said, it is a one off game, it's all on the line, we know we have to win. We were decent at the start of the season, Annan were poor at the start of the season - we have to hope the manager and players can pull it off and somehow get the win.

    My head says 3-0 Annan

My heart says 0-0 (or conceding right at the death as we push for a goal)

I would love to be mega optimistic and  course they will get my full backing but I'm just not seeing us beating them on their current form.

Staying in the division was the ultimate aim and I don't care how we do it, whether it's next week or playoffs. Come on Binos!

  5. Not sure how bad it is but by McTominays reaction it doesn't look good. Players usually can tell when it's a bad one and his face had 'missing euros' all over it.

    Hope he is ok

  6. Was looking at Lewis Morgans stats earlier - (20 goals in 44 appearances in the MLS for New York) and it got me thinking of Johnny Russell who I think was doing some mental numbers over there in the run up to last Euros but of course didn't get a look in.

Hoping one of the stats guys can help, has Steve Clarke ever called up a player from the MLS? I think Russell and Morgans last caps were maybe just before we appointed Clarke and Gaulds last call up was when he was in Portugal (again pre-Clarke)

  7. A long list makes sense whether it's released publicly or an internal players thing.

There will be a bunch of fringe guys in key positions - McCrorie, Conway, Nisbet etc where their season will be over but Clarke will want them to keep in match shape in case they are called up for last minute injuries or whatever

Don't know if you got anywhere with this but I just checked and had the same thing happen to me.

I got in touch with SFA and apparently the ticket wasn't registered as scanned in the data provided by the Dutch FA. I replied with pictures of me there and is nothing they can do apparently!

I got nowhere with mine. Same thing, an issue with scanning the ticket or something.

I told them I could send them flight, hotel, uber and even mcdonalds receipts from when I was there but they couldn't even be arsed replying.

  9. Karamoke Dembele

Popping in this thread as last I seem to recall he didn't want to play for Scotland (but I might be remembering wrong)

Been keeping an eye on him this season and not suggesting he is ready for a full call up or anything but without a doubt had his best professional season yet and only 21, he still has plenty time to make it work.

He has been at Blackpool in League One this season (on loan from Brest in Ligue 1) and has managed 14 assists and 8 goals and nominated for League One young player of the season.

Next year will be massive for him in terms of building on this season. If he comes back to England, he should have no problem securing a loan to a Championship team.

  10. Come on Binos! All the fans seem to be up for the fight and behind the manager and team - I just hope the players have the same attitude today.

Even though Queens fans and players have had a torrid season, I expect for a crunch game like this, they will be right up for it as well.

  11. In the upcoming friendlies, I would be taking along McCrorie and Johnston to have a look at both on the assumption that one or both of Hickey/Patterson will be doubtful.

McCrorie is doing well this year with Bristol at right wing back, has started 12 out of 18 games since start of the year and came on as a sub for the other 6. I think he may have had a couple of call ups in past as well so that in itself may help.

Johnston I have seen very little of aside from Under 21 games. He isn't starting at the moment for Sturm Graz but is making sub appearances here and there. He is very highly thought of I believe, I just don't know how high that ceiling is. If he is some sort of wonder kid then I would maybe take a punt, but I'm not sure he fits the mould for that.

If Hickey/Patterson are both out like, I'm not convinced the replacements will even have a chance to start. Ralston has the best chance of starting but nobody after him will start. I think Clarke is more likely to move Robertson/Tierney over or use Ryan Fraser if he is included in those circumstances.

  12. I cant for the life of me what's happened to mine for Netherlands away game.

I bought ticket, they posted me it, I attended the game.

Are they processing a refund for it for some reason 🤔

I was on 12 points, Im now on 13 but also attended N Ireland game but no indication on what's happened regarding points.

Anyone else that went to Netherlands got this?

  13. Ross Stewart also back in light training apparantly. They are hopeful to have him back for playoffs.

Unless we have an injury crisis, it will be too late for Nisbet and Stewart to make Euros squad

I would guess this is purely about making enquiries for the future, or maybe even for an under 21 call-up, rather than as a potential member of the Euros squad.

Aye this. Not sure what the official cut off date/age is for the under 21 campaign but I suspect its for that. No issues with a regular league one starter for that level.

His strike partner (Ben House) in my opinion is one to watch. He has been tipped for a move in the summer with a few bigger clubs sniffing about.  He has played for Scotland at youth level, now is 24. Proper hard working type strong forward that links midfield. Worrying amount of injuries for a young lad though.

Aye, the confidence of some of your supporters on here has been quite 'interesting'. I suppose it's good to have faith in your manager/side (something not one QoS fan has) but I don't think any of Annan, Stirling or QoS are in a position to feel so confident about surviving tbh.

As a QoS fan and a neutral I'm really hoping it goes down to the last game between Stirling and Annan. I know Stirling absolutely don't want that but it would surely mean a packed out Forthbank?

I also have faith in Darren Young as our manager and would happily stick with him whichever league we end up in next season, but confidence is through the floor you have to think. The number of individual errors (especially catastrophic ones) is mental at the moment and to to suddenly turn that round needs something really special.

Goal difference could very well be decider and we have absolutely fucked it on Saturday. We don't just need to beat Edinburgh, we need to be going out to batter them. We claw back that goal difference on Annan and it's an extra point.

No chance Forthbank is packed out for final game if its a decider. More fans than usual absolutely but probably only a few hundred. Last home game vs Annan had a crowd of 781, I imagine this one would have 1000 - 1200

  16. I'm very surprised at the amount of Binos fans on here and on social media that seem confident of us avoiding the drop. I wish I had their confidence.

The confidence seems to come from our set of fixtures but we have Edinburgh (who everyone has), Queens and Annan games will be far from easy as fighting for same thing as us.

That leaves Kelty on Saturday, we gubbed them previously but they are so inconsistent you never know what to get from them and I believe a point for them mathematically secures their place so they will be going all out too you would think.

I would say on paper, especially after that gutless humping at home by Alloa, that we are the favourites for 9th.

  17. Ordered the hardback album as well, I like the look of that.

Yesterday was launch day, I'll have a wee nosey in the shop today and see if they have the stickers out.

    I think it's £1 for 6 stickers
