  1. Don't think Neilson would be very good in goal, could be wrong though.
  2. Oh I think he'd get a game. Just he'd have precious little influence over it. I'd agree in an over inflated opinion on himself. Where are you getting the 'over inflated opinion' bit? Have you spoken to him face to face? I think he comes over as quite a humble laddie any time he speaks.
  3. I said a few weeks back that they should have organised an open meeting at the stadium before next week's match. A chance to tell us exactly what the 'mess' is before opening BTG for folk to see the game. Clear the air and the club makes money at the same time. It would probably be breaking some sort of Fair Play rules though as it would be stopping hordes of Falkirk fans from going to Firhill.
  4. I'm on permanent holiday, but thanks for your concern.
  5. Because Rennie had a reputation for turning teams around quickly and would maybe have agreed to try to do the same with us? We are, after all, his boyhood club and this may have given him the opportunity to realise an ambition without having to uproot his family and life? If it had gone to plan there would have been an upside for everyone involved? Please note that I'm ending every sentence with a question mark.
  6. I think the reason for the 6 month contract is that the intention was that Rennie was always going to be leaving and that Miller would take over. The expectation though would have been that the club had comfortably reached the play-offs and the hand over would be taking place when we were on the up and that the fans would then buy into it. Well, we're not and we haven't, so don't do it!
  7. Yup, Rennie was a name that I mentioned any time we've had the vacancy in the past few years because he had a decent record and I felt that he would bring some new thinking and ideas and possibly some decent young American players. I was wrong.
  8. I just can't think of any other reason for keeping him.
  9. I think the reason for keeping him would be down to money. As I pointed out at the BTG meeting, they’re in a strong position to get rid due to the short contract, so why on earth would they want to retain someone who has performed so badly? Doesn’t make sense, unless he’s going to be cheap and easy to dump if it doesn’t work out.
  10. There was barely a murmur at full time v Montrose. I normally leave my seat to stand at the front of the SS with a couple of minutes to go. Last week I just sat there, kinda numb, for a few minutes after full time.
  11. Even if he doesn’t fancy him as a left back, it would still make sense to play him on the left of midfield.
  12. I would have thought it would be more sensible to bin him while we still have a play off chance, not less.
  13. I'll take a wild guess that 18 months was the minimum he'd accept.
  14. Why would you keep Martin rather than Holt as a matter of interest?
  15. Agreed, I always think players are better with one of each.
  16. Throw it in the bin, save you a trip to the bookies.
  17. What a lot of absolute tripe. Why the hell would we want two right footed centre halves?
