  1. Dreadful. Customary appalling passing falling short of the target. They could get 10 here.
  2. Aye, good call. Still think this team has lots of promise, especially once the injuries are sorted. A few cute runs off the ball, sharper passing and shooting, and the confidence will flood back (on and off the pitch). Today, we are the underdogs and we should play with a little more freedom. Hope The management team are in a position at the end to think *up yours" to team negative. Come on you feckers, er, I mean, Gers.
  3. Indeed. Loads of effort, but it's all very predictable and there is nobody who is likely to do something a bit special. No surprise that we tail off in most games once the opposition defence realises there is not much to worry about. Lewis Allan looked a class above (as he should) against Annandale, but otherwise he has been really disappointing. But it is the passing that has been mind-bogglingly poor. Allan and Smith can do bugger all if the final pass is miles off target. Crap passing, no width and no flair is killing all the excellent energy, and the management team seem to have more excuses than ideas. We have had bad luck with injuries, but the teams we put out should still be doing better against the likes of the Strollers and Gretna.
  4. It is indeed. Show any passion or criticism, and they release the hounds. I've given up on it. Sadly, not enough people on here for a good debate either, so nowhere to get an answer to questions like, how is Jack Cook? Out for many weeks now with concussion, and now doesn't get a mention in the Club's minimalist match preview.
  5. Gretna1-0 Berwick. Embarrassing run of results. 4 points from 18 and some really inadequate performances. Can't criticise the management team though, as I am "clueless".
  6. Humblest apologies. I should be happy that we've slumped to 9th having played more games than all but the bottom 2.
  7. I thought we were making progress after a couple of decent displays, but Spartans, Edinburgh Uni (even though we won), Shire and now Strollers have been painful to watch. Last night, we bossed possession in the first half with the wind behind, but created nothing. The energy is excellent, but the football is terrible. Decent sides create space (and therefore chances) by movement off the ball and accurate but simple passing. We seem to be in a permanent quest for a 50/50 challenge and it is awful to watch - school playground stuff. You have to question the coaching and tactics. Sophisticated it isn't.
  8. We are better than 6 Months ago and the attitude is not in question. But we were well beaten yesterday, struggling to create any really decent chances. The stand out difference was in ball retention. Our passing was just awful throughout, and when a pass did reach its target with a bit of pace on it, the first touch was pish. Really needs working on. Still a couple of key players missing, so I'm sure we will improve. (For sure, read hope).
  9. I watched the full game. Excellent quality on Twitch, so well done to all concerned. Thought we deserved the point. Defended confidently and whilst they had the better chances we looked just as good in midfield. Decent ref for a change, too.
  10. Scrappy first half from both sides. Piss poor if truth be told. 2nd half was less hectic but still very disappointing in terms of quality. Our passing was dreadful - either nowhere near the intended target, or so slow that it was easily intercepted. A few good moves, but often culminating in a balls up of some description. Early days and good players to come back, but Finnie aside, most of the new boys have a lot of work to do.
  11. They intend to stream every home game whilst fans are not allowed in. Saturday is free, £6.75 thereafter
  12. Lost 4-1 at Stenny. Don't know if Stenny played their full strength team, but Berwick had 6 missing. Hit the woodwork 3 times and it appears we look good going forward, but still leak too many goals at the back.
  13. Berwick lost 4-0 at Raith yesterday. Last friendly next week v Stenny.
  14. Livingston 2-1 Berwick Rangers last night. Mix of first team squad and under 20's for Livi.
  15. Grant Nelson (Rangers, Dundee) signed by Berwick tonight.
  16. Whitehill 1, Berwick 3 last night. 2 goals for Lewis Allen.
  17. Whitehill 1, Berwick 3 (last night)
  18. Not sure they'll mandate face coverings for an outdoor, socially distanced gathering. No probs if they do though. Definitely easy enough for Berwick to have a 750 crowd limit. As for English/Scottish rules, I guess we might have to adhere to Lowland League regulations AND English law if it is slightly different.
  19. There is a bus service from Berwick to Holy Island via Haggerston, but it varies according to the tide times cutting off the causeway, so tends to be different each day. Borders buses 477. You can see if it is feasible once the fixtures are released. Seems they have taken the timetable offline for now, due to Covid but this was the 2019 timetable to give an idea.
